Excellent book with stage by stage pictures that have enabled me, as a complete beginner, to soft furnishing making, to make a Roman blind and eyelet curtains. Each project detailed in the book, whether it be for example a box cushion with piping, a pair of curtains or blind, is broken down into clear detailed instructions with a photo for each stage of instruction. It makes such a difference to see s photo of each step so that there is no ambiguity about what you should be doing. I havebeen able to undertake projects that I never believed I could achieve on my own. A really super book that should appeal to a wide audience from young to old.

This book is fantastic!. I took up sewing a few months ago and I found some books hard to follow but this book has easy to follow, step by step instructions and pictures. It didn't seem like gobbledegook, it was so straightforward. I have now made a beautiful roman blind and 3 tie blinds. I recommend this book highly, so glad I bought it.

Fabulous book !! I am almost finished making three lined Roman Blinds for my sitting room which is south-facing and gets very hot during the summer...I am aware it is autumn but they will be in place ready for 2018! I have been looking for a comprehensive book with clear instructions and I should have gone to DK .Previous experience bears this out but sometimes I am a slow learner! If you are looking to make window blinds - buy the best book -DK

A fabulous book if you are embarking on making any of the items mentioned on the front cover.I borrowed the book from my library for a couple of months and made a roman blind very successfully,but decided I must have my own copy of the book.

Absolutely fabulous, have struggled with getting a good finish with Roman blinds. This book was really easy to follow and my blinds look very professional at a fraction of the cost. I think this book will be well used for lots of different projects. Can highly recommend.
