It’s delicious!
This is a gently tasty version of the dreaded marmite. Delicious on toast for breakfast.

Just like Marmite!!
I thought I’d try this product as need a GF alternative to Marmite when cooking GF chilli, shepherds pie and lasagne. It’s so similar I can’t tell the difference. Just a little half teaspoon is enough to contribute flavour to a meal for 6 people. Delicious!

Alternative marmite!
I used to buy this product when introduced to it many years ago and haven't seen it in any health food shops. Pleased to see it available on Amazon but it has rocketed up in price. If you haven't tried it before - start off with a small jar. I love it as it's less salty and strong as marmite and has a slight 'Chicken - like' taste when spread on toast!

Def. the Original from Germany!!
I was a bit worried because the package looks different but it is def. the wonderful original Vitam R from Germany. I grew up with Vitam R. It's like Marmite I guess, you either love it or "hate" it. I have always loved Vitam R and therefore I am very happy with this product. Will order again as I find it's too expensive to order Vit R from Germany directly!Thank you

Love it or hate it? Well?!
I'm sorry but it's just not Marmite and it's very expensive for a small jar, I am afraid I won't be re-ordering sorry ***

Big Mistake!
For me this was a complete waste of money. The texture is quite runny resulting in yeast extract all over me and the work surface when I opened the jar upon delivery. This would be solved by keeping in the fridge I suppose. The worst thing for me was the smell and the taste, it made me feel nauseous. It doesn't resemble any yeast extract I've tried before and I can't even bear to take the lid off the jar again! I've since discovered that Tesco's yeast extract is suitable for coeliac sufferers at a fraction of the price. It tastes really nice so I'll stick to that in future.

Not bitter, not over-salty.
It is hard to find Vitam-R in the US. Other yeast extracts are too salty, too thick and taste too bitter. Vitam-R is awesome. Tastes great with a slice of German Rye bread as spread on top of butter.

I love this stuff
I love this stuff. Much better than Marmite or Vegemite (and my Aussie friends agree). Not available in US, only form UK health food stores (pay attention Whole Foods).Worth paying the shipping cost. It arrived sooner than stated. Yum!!
