Perfect for beginners!
For the price of this product I was expecting less. When it came in the mail I was surprised how heavy the whole binder was. It is definitely perfect for doodling or beginner drawers like my 12 year old son. The drawing pads are not average size, like a notebook or computer paper, but it works for those who are testing out their creativity. I love the contents that came with such as the shadowing pads and pencil along with the colored pencils. The price was right for me and my son loved the surprise.

For beginners. The case is the best part.
I really like the case that comes with the set. It's sturdy and folds up nicely. I have other sets that come in huge boxes and are very cumbersome. This case makes it much easier to travel with the way it layers and folds up.It comes with some other nice things such as a full range of graphite pencils that vary from hard to very soft. It also comes with a pencil extender, which is great for when your pencils get really short. It also comes with a sharpener and sanding block. These are nothing special, but it's nice they're included. Both the graphite and colored pencils draw very smooth and I didn't notice any hard or gritty spots. The colored pencils, though, seem pretty weak in terms of pigment. They must have a lot of filler. Which is fine, just know that they're definitely student grade, which should be expected at this price point.Basically, if you already have a nice set, you could use this case with them.

Good set for beginners
This is a decent beginner set with a nice variety of pencils. It comes with 72 colored pencils, 12 graphite pencils of different hardness values, woodless graphite, and 3 charcoal pencils. Also included are blending stumps, a vinyl eraser, a pencil extender, a small metal pencil sharpener, and a sandpaper block. Many of the colored pencils were poorly sharpened. I’m not sure if it’s because the leads aren’t centered or if they were just sharpened with an off-center sharpener or process. The charcoal pencils came unsharpened, and they were difficult to sharpen because the leads kept breaking off. This could be because the charcoal is really soft, or they may have been damaged during shipping. The soft charcoal pencil was especially difficult to work with. The pencils have a color number and a name stamped on each of them, although the printing is hit or miss sometimes with parts of letters being completely unreadable. Also, the pencil that is labeled as “Pink” looks more purple when drawing. There were also a few pencils where the color on the end didn’t match the color of the lead. This is a good reason to swatch all the colors before you start using them. Also included in the kit is a sketch book (5.7" x 7.9") that is labeled as 80 lb. paper. The paper is smooth but doesn't feel as thick as 80 lb. paper. It feels more like 24 lb. or 26 lb. paper. It is labelled as smudge-resistant, but part of what you want when sketching and using charcoal is the ability to smudge. It actually smudges charcoal just fine with a blending stump.

Quite the robust set
Such a wide array of colors, and I love that there are all the extra tools for sketching (smudging, erasers, etc) It's all in one zip-able case, and I think the only thing that I would have wished for is a larger drawing pad to be included. I can't speak to the quality of the colored pencils (I'm not an experienced artist), but at first-look, this set is quite the sight to behold.

Would make a nice gift
This is a nice set of drawing pencils for using just black pencils or 72 colored pencils. The set comes with a sketchbook that is 5.7" x 7.9", 80#/120g/m2 with a fine texture. You get 12 drawing pencils with the B and H numbering system, a soft, medium and hard charcoal pencil, a woodless pencil, three different sizes of blending stumps, a sandpaper sharpener, an eraser, and a holder for short pencils. All the things for a beginner in drawing. You also get 72 colored pencils that are numbered and named. They seemed a bit familiar to me and so I looked up in my pages of swatches and found that this set of 72 colors are the same ones used in a Kalour set of 72 colored pencils that came in a tube (ASIN B09VMMF2GP), just in case you have that set and don't want to duplicate it. The colors laid down very well and combined together. There is a good selection of colors for any type of coloring that you would want to do. If you have a would be artist in the family and want to give them a gift to get them started, this set should do fine. There are bigger and better sets, but this is a good round up of what is needed.12-10-2022 Edited to Add: I also got the Vobou 146 sketching and colouring set. The band around the case was incorrect stating it had 72 pencils. In reality you get 120 colored pencils. I could not find any possibility of what other brand, if any, that these were. You get the same sketching items as in the smaller set, but you get 120 pencils in the case. The colors in the set are terrific. Lots of greens, blues, reds, purples, yellow, oranges, browns, and blacks and grays. So you get plenty of neutrals and plenty of colors. I have just had to replace all my computer stuff and I haven't figured out how to take photos and add them in, otherwise I would post of photo of the colors. The colors laid down well and blended nicely. You also get two metallics; gold and silver. While the pencils are numbered, they have no color names on them and there is no color chart with them. You do get a sketch book included in the set. I really like this set and the many colors and how they blended. With blending I was able to make some colors that did not come in the set.I appreciate the opportunity to try out this set of pencils. Thank you.
