Using the device is very easy, I am familiar with OBD2 scanners, so I thought the idea of a wireless onewould be a good idea.Connection is easy, just seach for the device on Wifi, connect and thats jobs done.Using the app Torque Pro, which can be easily downloaded (for Android) you can view and assess manysettings, including RPM, coolant temperature, trottle, speed etc. This will depend on what sensors are availableon your vehicle, type of ECU and age of vehicle. I'm using this on a Skoda Fabia MK2 for reference, and I onlyhave access to some basic information, but when I plug this into a newer vehice, I get far more info to view.You can also read your DTC codes should there be any and clear them, taking some of the guess workout of a car repair and possible saving you from getting ripped off for a repair thats not needed.One clearing of fault codes and the device has paid for itself.

I use it on my BMW 645 2005: It works and connects, but it takes time, sometimes you have to do it for long time. restarting app reconnecting the device and so on. It may be a"not bad" monitoring tool, but definitely NOT WHAT i'VE EXPECTED.I've expected easy connect and all mistakes or control messages displayed on mobile. Currently it gives me nothing more than I have on my dashboard screen

I ordered this because I have a ABS and traction control light on in a 1996 XJ12. The scanner showed up fast had no problem reading codes pump motor circuit. I was surprised how well it worked. It saved me a lot of time and money.

Great product, we have a 2012 Range Rover sport and it read everything just fine. Also hooked it up my Acura tlx and it read the basic systems too.

You need this product if you have an older BMW.
