I got this and another workbook for my sister for Christmas 2022 because she is self teaching Korean so she can go to Korea and teach English in the future. I specifically got her the handwriting booklet because I noticed that skill was lacking in her chosen curriculum. Not only was she surprised about her gift, she loved it, uses it regularly, and says it has helped her studies a lot.

I really wish this book had been printed in color. This book was printed in greyscale and yet it tries to use shades to differentiate between vowels and consonants…🙃. Because of this you’re either squinting at the page to see the minute difference in grey-ness, color-coding on your own and hoping you don’t accidentally color code something wrong, or just returning the book and getting one that’s easier to understand. With actual content I think it’s a great book, I’m just really frustrated by the “cheap-ness” of the printing inside the book

Great book to learn proper writing. I bought this for my 12 year old who is interested in learning Korean.

Excellent to allow one to practice writing in Korean. Recommend it as a tool to learn to write Korean. One minor issue is the translation of the word 밥 (bap) which means "rice" and not "meal" as the book indicates. Still it is an excellent tool.

I've always wanted to learn a second language. Decided on Korean. This has been fun and exciting and easier than expected thanks to this book. Why South Korea? One of the most beautiful and safest places to live in the world.

The photo of this book doesn't show that it is a large workbook-sized paperback. The squares for practicing letters and letter combinations is excellent and lend themselves for a lot of repetition. The end section has Korean phrases to practice, so there is a bit of language learning above and beyond the hangul practice.

This book is great for bettering your handwriting in Hangul. The first many pages are for practicing the writing of the consonants and vowels, but as you go on they include basic words with pictures, that way you can not only practice the individual letters but the syllable block formation as well. I would recommend this book to go along with other books actually teaching you the Korean language.
