Horticultural Gravel, 20KG

Good quality, good appearance and good value for money

One part of my lawn had turned into a patch of slippery mud, and was likely to cause an accident. I spread this over the patch the day it arrived and raked in some sharp sand. Even with all the rain since this has stayed stable and the grass is returning.

I purchased this gravel to put around an Olive Tree I was repotting into a bigger pot. I have taken a photos to show how the gravel looks. It is a nice small gravel which achieves the effect I was after. The gravel is packed wet so best not to open it indoors without some form of protection on the surface you are opening it on. For my needs this bag of Melcourt Horticultural Gavel was spot-on, so 5 stars.

I read in one of the reviews that considering this is supposed to be pre washed they found it dirty, but this is grit, there is no soil or seed in it but as with most grit it does have minute pieces of smaller grit and dust probably caused by transportation I can live with that I would and have ordered more. I am very pleased with the quality

The outer packaging was falling apart due to rain but as the bag itself looked intact,I accepted the delivery.When I opened the bag ,I was extremely disappointed as it was meant to be washed gravel .As you can see from the pictures,it was very dirty,lots of sand and even a large chunk of metal in it.I repeatedly washed it but in the end just decided to chuck it in my large planter(to add weight )and put a plastic pot on top of it containing the plant.I am sorry but I wouldn’t buy again or recommend it to anyone as it looked like it was taken from a beach.

and exaxtly what I wanted but be warned if it is left by your door and you are older it is very heavy.
