I have reviewed this DVD before in 2011! I thought I should write another review as I love this so much. I just leave it in my dvd player and try and use it every day or every other day. As I'm so used to the exercises and know them by heart, I also add my own to vary and extend the workout. I have certainly got my moneys worth. I've bought other dvds over the years but haven't used them as much. It's a great workout to kick-start you into a fitness regime. You can view pilates now on YouTube and at the moment I'm taking part in online classes during lockdown, but I will always return to Tracey. She's been a big part of my life. I highly recommend this dvd and you do see results as long as you take it seriously and do the exercises properly. I just wish I could get this on my Smartphone!

It works!!
I’ve been using this dvd for years now. I’m 44 and had various hip rebuilds and replacements throughout my life. I tried lots of dvds to try and get fit (lose weight) without causing damage or pain to my joints but this is the only one I have found that really works. I do this workout 3 times a week. I’ve lost and kept off a stone. I’m unbelievably strong now and get no joint pain. When I first started this dvd I couldn’t do any of it. I now add in my own exercises to push me a little harder. As Tracey says ‘if you stick to this dvd you WILL see results’ the only other thing I have changed is that I don’t eat for at least 1.5 hours after doing this dvd as you continue to burn calories after exercising. Other than that my life is as normal and I eat as normal but I’m fitter and thinner and feel totally energised after!! Who doesn’t want that?!?

Good introduction
I've never done pilates before but have been recommended to try it as I suffer which fibromyalgia and chronic pain I also want to loose weight so thought this would be ideal and gentle .. my medication is quite strong so I could have done with the moves being shown a tad slower but with practice I will get there

Excellent video
Very good, clear instructions. I was somewhat surprised by the difficulty of pilates - this isn't a criticism - rather in indication of my ignorance. The exercises have shown me just how out of condition I am, my lack of core strength and the need for some exercise. I bought this video thinking that it would be light exercise - it is not. What it is is very enjoyable, I feel when I've completed the excises a sense of achievement and since I've started doing them much better in myself. I don't do them daily 3/4 times weekly is enough but believe me that the video is worth doing and has encouraged me to do other forms of exercise on those days when I don't do the Pilates.

instructor is nice and as a person who is not toned / ...
I am really looking forward to exercise with this DVD ... instructor is nice and as a person who is not toned / fit this seems "doable" ... recording is about40 min long and incorporates standing as well as "on the mat" exercises ... I hope to loom and feel good for the summer :)

Very good
For people who found this instructor annoying, all I can say is you must be very easily annoyed ????? I had back surgery two years ago that failed, so I have struggled doing any work out, even weekly physio was not pleasant, I have been told by so many people to try Pilates, so I ordered this DVD.The work out gets you heated, while still not making you ever feel your putting any strain on your back at all, each move shows modifications, the helps and tips are great.The Instructor,while offering you tips and advise all the way through, is not loud or intrustive at all, she reminds you to breath, explains the moves before doing them and explains why your doing them, very softly and quietly, I personally find her method of instruction quite soothing, I also do The 30 Day Shred ( to painful) and Zumba DVD work outs so the intruction on this DVD is a pleasure trust me :)My back is feeling stronger and my nerve is not irrated at all with work out so for me big thumbs up, would recommend this to anyone.

Really enjoyable introduction to Pilates
I enjoy this workout. I had never done Pilates before and the more I do it the more I seem to get out of it. I like the additional verbal reminders about form and also the visual hints and information on the side of the screen. The presenter is very pleasant. I think this is a good introduction to Pilates and it's a good length to fit into a busy morning - the standing Pilates is 20 minutes, the mat section is 15 minutes and they can be done separately or one after the other.

Great workout
I bought this after trying pilates a few times at my old gym. A change of location meant I couldn't go anymore.I read many reviews and pondered a great deal before buying this one and I am very pleased with my choice.I find the instructor very encouraging and she reminds you plenty of times about breathing and posture which is essential for me as a novice. She also gives a lot of praise which (although she obviously isn't talking to you directly due to it being a DVD!) makes you feel very postive. Personally, I don't find her the least bit annoying but I guess it's down to preference.The exercise itself is as tough as you want it to be as they show various adaptions depending on if you are a total beginner through to super fit. I find I'm really puffed out at the end of the 20 minutes standing and the 15 mins of floor work (although equally challenging at times, especially the pelvic tilts!) gives a well needed break from the squats and lifts.This is great for someone who needs low impact exercise who wants to get fit, lose weight and vastly improve their posture - mine is already much better after only a few weeks, and I will be looking for other DVDs by Tracey Thompson
