These are creative recipes ANYONE can cook! Review: Best cookbook I've seen in a long time! - Although I do remember Nick from Master Chef, I haven't been following him on YouTube or Tiktok, so I bought his cookbook without really knowing much about his cooking style past what I saw on TV, but it popped up on desertcart and the recipes appealed to me. I'm so glad desertcart recommended Nicks cookbook! It's not only beautifully photographed and so well organized, I want to make literally EVERY recipe right now! Nothing overly complicated, but everything with a unique twist. I mean can we just talk about the brilliance of turning Eggs Benedict into a SANDWICH!?!?!? This cookbook is packed with good solid cooking techniques and delicious ingredients. Nicks personality shines through even the most concise of the head notes. I'm very excited to work my way through Knife Drop. Also, chuckling at the soup chapter (or lack thereof). Edited to add: I made the browned butter chocolate chip cookies and while they're weren't the quickest cookie recipe I've ever made, the extra effort was 1000% worth it. They're absolutely delicious and the instructions were very easy to follow. Lisa Steele Author of The Fresh Eggs Daily Cookbook Review: A most pleasant surprise - The author is apparently some kind of social media star, delivering cooking videos to legions of fans. I admit, I didn’t know his work prior to reading this book. But when I stumbled across the book itself, I found it rather intriguing. The theme here seems to be interesting, creative, restaurant-quality types of dishes, but which can be (relatively) easily prepared by home cooks in a home kitchen. Admittedly, some of the recipes live up to that promise a bit better than others. To be sure, there are several recipes in here that look just as impressive as anything you might find in a Michelin-starred restaurant, but with relatively simple ingredients and techniques accessible to home chefs. But there are also a couple that don’t quite hit that “impressive” mark or which might be a bit more intimidating to the home cook. But that’s not to say those recipes are necessarily bad or failures by any means. And despite a couple maybe not quite hitting the same theme as the rest of the book, I consider the book on the whole quite a success. One thing I particularly like, and I don’t know whether to credit the author or the publisher for this, is that every single recipe in the book is accompanied by an attractive full-page illustration so you can see exactly what each dish is supposed to look like. Admittedly, that means there’s not room for quite as many recipes in here, but I find it makes for a more attractive, and indeed more useful, cookbook. As for the recipes themselves, I’m quite pleased to report that the vast majority of them look like something I’d actually like to cook and/or eat. Obviously everyone’s tastes are different so no cookbook ever manages to be 100% for anyone (except perhaps its own author), but this one is closer aligned to my tastes than most. And I particularly like a book that combines some sophisticated classy recipes with some that are more comfort food. And I have to admit, what really caught my eye is that this book even includes a recipe to make your own home-made dino nuggies. I’m pretty sure that means this is an author who knows what his audience wants. On that note of speaking to his audience, this might also be the perfect cookbook for the social media age because not only is the author apparently a social media cooking star of some sort, but he’s also included QR codes throughout the book leading the reader to videos demonstrating how to prepare some (not all) of the recipes. Honestly, I didn’t know what to expect from this book, but now that I’ve read it, I can see why Gordon Ramsay was willing to put his name on it and supply a foreword. This is really an excellent cookbook.

Homeschool Nick's Cooking Class
For homeschool, I’m always excited when my kids find something that’s both entertaining and educational—and they absolutely LOVE watching Nick DiGiovanni YouTube channel! They’ve learned so much while watching and exploring food and countries, and now they’re even more excited because they have their very own copy of Knife Drop: Creative Recipes Anyone Can Cook! It’s been so fun watching them get inspired in the kitchen and trying new foods when we go out. I love finding resources that make learning feel like fun, and this book has definitely been a hit in our homeschool! If your kids enjoy watching Nick's videos, they’ll be so excited to have the cookbook to explore and create with themselves!

Inspired cooking creativity
I bought this for my 9 year old son. It’s inspired him to want to be in the kitchen, and it’s helping him to read recipes. The food so far has been great too.

A fantastic teaching tool and recipes of great food!
I love this kid ( because he is a kid to me) ! His cookbook and cooking tutorials are outstanding!! I have purchased multiples of this cookbook. One for myself, others as gifts for individuals just learning how to cook the foods they love. This cookbook is a must have for anyone trying to perfect their cooking skills. Nick goes the extra mile, sounds and best technique. His parents have to be so proud of this wonderful young man teaching millennials, young and old dog's lessons in making everything delicious!!! Love this young new chef and his cookbook.

Good basics for cooking with family
My son likes watching Nick's YouTube videos and successfully made a couple things he saw on them, so I got him this book hoping it would inspire him to keep going. The book is nice quality and a good standard size. The food photography is lovely. The recipes are generally a bit mundane, some of them more about process than an actual recipe, but given the title of the book that's not entirely unexpected. The recipes we have tried so far have been simple and turned out well. We've made the chicken salad a few times despite it being one of the easiest recipes. I don't know that it will be a staple in our kitchen for longer than my son's attention span (ha), and I probably wouldn't have picked it up at a bookstore if I wasn't familiar with the youtube channel, but I don't regret buying it.

Nick Did an Incredible Job!
I've been following Nick for quite some time, so I was really excited to get this cookbook, and it did not disappoint. The book is beautifully designed, the photography is gorgeous, and every recipe explains itself in a way that makes me feel confident to try it. I love that Nick doesn't just tell you what to do—he explains why, which has helped me become a better home baker and cook. I've already made several recipes, and they've turned out wonderfully. You can really tell how much thought and effort went into creating this book. It's inspiring, practical, and enjoyable to read from beginning to end. This has quickly become one of my favourite cookbooks in my collection. Thank you, Nick, for sharing your knowledge and passion for food. I can't wait to keep cooking my way through the rest of the recipes!

Nice book, thank you nick!
I think the insertion of QR codes in some pages is life saving, i wish this was a bit more implemented in the book tho, it would have been really unique and a bit more helpful, love the recipies so far!

Zutaten
