PILOTCapless Medium Retractable Fountain Pen with Gold Trim

I was lucky enough to buy this at an exceptionally good price and was a little concerned that the medium nib would be too fine for me. It's just as other reviewers have said, however - not a Japanese medium (which would be too fine for my handwriting), but a western medium and therefore perfect for me.The pen is relatively heavy but feels well balanced in the hand and the writing experience is just wonderful. The nib glides over the page and has coped very well with every paper I've tried - although admittedly most of my paper is the "good" stuff from manufacturers recognised for catering to fountain pen users. Filling is easy using the supplied converter, the click is satisfying when propelling the nib forward or pulling it back into its housing, and the pen - White Carbonesque - looks attractive. I haven't found the clip interferes with the way I grip the pen.This was an impulse buy and my first Japanese pen/nib, although I do own a range of German and Italian fountain pens. The pen shape and weight won't be for everyone but for the writing experience alone it comes highly recommended by this reviewer.

A slightly thinker nib than I was expecting (my research suggested that a Japanese 'medium' is a European 'fine' and that isn't quite right in this case) but nevertheless pleasing to write with. There is quite a strong ink flow (it 'writes wet') which means that you need to use decent quality paper (otherwise it ends up looking scrappy/soaked in and you're best off with a ball pen) but that's a joy in itself. It begins writing reliably on pick up and the click to expose the nib is positive and pleasing. I'm very happy with the pen. While the need for decent quality paper means that it'll never totally replace my ball pen I will always carry it at work. The dynamic pricing on this site meant that I saw it going for a price that represented good value for money at the time and I'm glad I pounced.

It feels solidly made and of very high quality, the 18ct gold medium nib writes super smoothly and has a wet feed which works perfectly every time with no skipping or anything. The medium nib writes the same as any European medium. I'd definitely recommend it and I think this pen will be in constant daily use, I love it!

Silly money for a pen, but writes beautifully.

I first hear of Pilot hapless in 60s when I was at school. I have always wanted one and finally acquired one. It is a fabulous pen. Not only does it write well but as one presses the button to expose the nib or retract it, it is always so dramatic. It makes using a fountain pen even more of an experience.

Really wanted a good fountain pen and when I came across this retractable one I went for it - was not disappointed, superb quality and service. The gold clip is right in the way of where you hold the pen (as you can see from the photo) but I found this actually helps grip and improved my writing from the unreadable to the nearly legible. Refills are cheap (found them online - 72 cartridges for £15 - and I now look forward to writing long messages etc. Ironic I have to type this really...... 5*.

Beautiful pen. Nice broad nib that glide smoothly. Retractable so no need to remove and put the cap on every time especially when you use the pen for every day writing

The White, Blue, Red, and Black Carbonesque pens are fantastic. They look great, are very well balanced. They can take cartridges in a variety of colors, or they can use a cartridge that can be filled with other inks.

Normally this pen is €209 to €229 in the Netherlands. I do not know why it is around €150 on Amazon.de, but if you like black/gold fountain pens and you can live with the clip being on the writing end, then this is an instant buy. It is the most practical fountain pen in existence.I could take 1 star off for the crappy CON-40 convertor. Just get some sturdy (thicker plastic) cartridges for Pilot pens from AliExpress and then refill cartridges with a syringe. This is a problem with all Pilot pens that take the CON-40 convertor and I knew this beforehand, so I'm not going to subtract a star. Be warned though. The CON-40 is a piece of junk. Use cartridges, or refill them.

Was soll ich sagen, als Montblanc-Fan weist meine Sammlung zahlreiche wirklich tolle Schreibwerkzeuge auf. Dabei schätze ich die Wertigkeit und Qualität. Besonders bei den Füllfederhaltern erwartete ich keine so deutliche Verbesserung des Schreibflusses. Nun bin ich ehrlich beeindruckt. Dieser Füllfederhalter bietet einen noch besseren Schreibfluss als die feinsten Montblancs.Einzig die Optik kann mit Montblanc mithalten. Klar, da liegen beim Preis Welten dazwischen. In jedem Fall werde ich mir noch weitere Varianten von Pilot beschaffen. Für den täglichen Gebrauch ist dieses Produkt jedenfalls geeigneter. Ein Druck auf den Mechanismus und die Feder ist schreibbereit. Und sie gleitet förmlich über das Papier. Die Originaltinte rundet das Bild ab. Werde diese mit meinen Montblancs versuchen. Mit den Pilot-Produkten in Verbindung ist das Schreibgefühl einem Montblanc-Füllfederhalter überlegen.Werde ich die Montblancs nicht mehr nutzen? Nein, ich liebe die Anmutung. Das spornt die Kreativität an.Mein Tipp, einfach mal den Pilot ausprobieren. Da kann nichts schiefgehen.

Hace años que iba detrás de una pluma de estas. Escogí este modelo porque el precio era oferta que no podía dejar pasar. Tal vez al mismo precio habría comprado otro color, pero en el fondo lo importante es cómo escribe.Es una pluma espectacular, funciona de maravilla, ni un defecto, ni un problema y la uso a diario, bastante. La escritura quizá más cercana al B que al M. La recomiendo sin duda.

Cercavo una penna stilografica particolare e l'ho trovata. Fantastica
