Disappointing
I've always thought of Denman as being one of the best when it comes to hair brushes so this was a no brainer when looking for our son. I've got to say I was thoroughly underwhelmed when the brush came as the quality was quite poor and the "bristles" seemed quite sparse and very hard, even for a toddler (our son is 3 so we're not talking a super sensitive baby scalp.) I would recommend you continue the search and look elsewhere.

Sad to report product is dangerous
I am really sad that this product actually turned out to be dangerous. I chose Denman because I associated the brand with quality but within a minute of removing the item from the packaging the comb had fallen off the brush and revealed a very sharp screw, and I had to act quickly to get it away from my toddler before she hurt herself. However, the brush and comb are very good so I am still using them, but have removed the screw and piece of plastic which was supposed to hold the comb and brush together.

Fabulous Hairbrush!
I love this hairbrush. My 3year old does not like her hair being brushed so alot of the time, I have to attempt to brush her hair whilst she is in the bath when I've applied conditioner to her hair. Today, she sat on my lap and let me brush her hair. She likes this brush also and will comb her own hair with it. I read some of the reviews and saw some mentioning a nail sticking out, I can honestly say that mine was very safe and had no nail sticking out. They must had been very unfortunate and clearly received a faulty item, a manufacturer's error. Colours are nice and bright too! The bristles don't scratch the scalp like alot of brushes do. Highly recommend!!

Great for afro babies π
My daughter has one serious afro and I used to have the tommee tippee brushes but that was only helpful when she was a newborn. Once her hair went from straight to coily (3c/4a type hair), I needed a proper brush but not an adult one. I've heard denman is a good brand so was pleased when I found this. I dampen her hair first (otherwise I cannot use the brush through that big afro - see pics of her hair). I then use the blue brush, followed through with the red one to ensure all the tangles are out. Her hair is now turning into a proper afro, so I think she may soon outgrow this brush but its so handy to have this especially because they're stuck together! I've been using this for about 6 months now and no complaints from me.π

Excellent
This set is excellent. The comb is good for detangling my daughter's hair. The brush is comfortable to use with tipped bristles (if bristle is the right word, the plastic bristles are much more gentle than a traditional bristle). The size is just right for my two year old, both for me brushing her hair or her learning to brush her own hair. The bright colours are fun for for children, and I like the way the brush and comb clip together for storage. The plastic is easy to clean. I would highly recommend.

Dangerous product
After light use for a week or so, child was playing with it and it came apart. The housing which holds the comb to the brush came out. They both still work so would normally not bother with the bad review but look at the screw they use, for a toddllers brush. Lucky i saw it fall out before he or his 9 months sister decided to investigate. Dangerous material choice and poor construction.

Good toddler brush
Great brush and comb set suitable for my 3.5 year old who loves it! The way the comb swivels out from the brush is a nice touch and gives him a bigger handle to hold. The brush bristles are plastic with a little ball on the end so wonβt scratch but are quite firm.
