I was immediately attracted by the nice pattern of these oversized mugs. My partner really enjoys them as coffee mugs. I find the wide opening makes it harder to hold on to it with one hand, unlike a taller mug. The lids seem useful but haven't been able to test them out yet. It's a little bit small for serving soup. By the way, I get a set of replacements because one of the mugs has a chipped bottom in the first package I received. It made me slightly question its durability. Overall, beautiful, decent mugs.

These are so nice for both soups and tea! Love them. The lid is a big bonus for easy fridge storage if need be.

These cups are pretty and a nice size for soups but not dishwasher safe. I wash the one on the left in a dishwasher (once) and the gold turned dull. Hand was is fine (on the right). It states on the bottom of the cups that they are dishwasher safe, hence 3 stars.

My wife is the big soup lover in my house. She can't say enough great things about these mugs.They definitely have a fancy elegant look for nice large mugs.We've washed in the dishwasher and used in the microwave and noticed no problems at all with the mugs.When I think ceramic I don't think of them as the first choice for a travel mug, but with the lid if you have any left overs these mugs are great to just put a lid on and store in the fridge and just microwave when ready to eat later.

I was just washing it by hand when it accidentally bumped with the other mug, then voila, it got chipped already. Only good for aesthetic purposes. Not good for everyday use.

These are perfect for soup, especially with the lid to reheat. The pattern is lovely, fits nicely in your hand, and looks great in the cupboard. I hand wash these because I am afraid that the gold detail will disappear in the dishwasher, but they are so pretty that I don't mind.

These are really attractive mugs! 18oz (2 1/4c) is a very good size! I love that it comes with lids. That is really convenient is you want to take it for lunch. This mug does not just have to be limited to soup. It is also great for ice cream, pudding and mug cakes … actually, the possibilities are endless.Did I mention how attractive these mugs are? They really are! They appear to be well made as well, which is even more important than how it looks. I am very happy with these.
