Great product. Easy to install.
Bought for a 55in Samsung TV. Nice and simple to fit and gives a decent but not overpowering amount of backlight. This was not the recommended size for a 55 in TV but i didnt want the LEDs at the edge of the TV, so i measured 10cm in from each edge. Marked the place for fitment with masking tape, stuck the strip in place without pushing too hard, made sure i was happy with the fit, then pressed the strip on firmly then removed the masking tape.If this product has a downside its that the non led part of the strip is very short. The Qled TV i have has all the HDMI and usb's on a seperate connect box, not the back of the TV. so the non led part of the strip was only just long enough to hide in the cable channel on the pedestal stand. I still had to buy a USB estension lead to get the length i needed. In addition it is not a "usb" fitment, it fits in a USB port but it is not a firm positive fit.Another tip for any Samsung Qled owners, as the power comes from the connect box, not the TV, when the TV is turned off it takes about a minute for the power to the LED lights to turn off. This is due to the TV set up, not the light stripThis unit is white light only and has no remote control or colour change option

Quality piece of kit.
Used on 49in Sony xe9005 and works well at reducing eye strain. It is a well made piece of kit .I have my TV in a corner with curtains on the right and wall to the left and with a bit of adjustment so as not to cast any strange shadows it casts a very clean white light . Not having had a light behind a TV before it is certainly something I would recommend as definitely improves the picture quality of an already excellent TV.

A Simple Product. Done Right.
Bias lighting. If you're looking at this, you're already on the thin edge of the wedge. You already have (at least) some idea of how much this will turn your big screen, hi-def TV watching experience from "meh" to "wow!" And, to be fair, there are probably ten thousand other companies that sell similar products. What sets this one apart is this: It just works, out of the box. The instructions are written in English, by people who understand English, and actually understand how 99.99% of their customers are going to use their product. Example: Some very small percentage of TVs have a USB port that doesn't power off when the TV is turned off. This company anticipates that issue. And suggests some workarounds. Good for them. That is the sign of a company run by decent human beings, the sort of people I want to do business with.Apparently Mark Cuban is an investor in this company. Is this going to make him another billion dollars? Probably not. But, for whatever its worth, I have enough respect for Mr Cuban to put some value in that association. I ordered the Illuminoodle bias lighting kit yesterday afternoon, and this evening I got through a very pleasant few hours of enjoying my (much improved) viewing experience. If you are going to buy a bias-lighting kit, save yourself the trouble: But the Iluminoodle version that best fits your needs. Life is too short to waste time trying to save yourself a few cents buying someone else's.

Take your time when sticking it on the tv and make sure u apply it in straight lines.
Firstly, the product seems like it’s good quality. Packaging and the product itself look and feel like they’re made to last. The installation was simple. I’d advise wiping the back of the tv if it’s dusty before u stick on the luminoodle.I layed my tv down flat and stuck it down with ease.I took the picture at 11:30am on a bringht clear day with no added lighting and it seems to be bright.I think it’s reasonably priced and already got family members wanting to purchase it lol.Overall it’s a great addition and just look so nice.

Can defiantly see a difference better blacks punchier hdr they work
Bought the 3m and fitted it to 55" tv measured up first of where I wanted it to go about 4 inches in from each side fits all the way round the tv with this the light was never to bright even in a totally dark room but sufficient to have the desired effect and made the blacks on my screen appear blacker this can most be seen when watching movie at night that is letterboxed in turn when watching a hdr film it made the effects e.g. lights etc pop more from the screen if you want led lights just cause they look cool get the cheaper ones but if you want led lights that will improve your viewing experience then get these as for the installation very easy and the adhesive is much better than the cheaper ones defiantly recommend these lights especially if you have an LCD led tv which can suffer from light bleeding due to the backlight the usb is not very long but that can easily be fixed with the use of a usb extension cable so if you have a qled and connect box or want to plug it in separately and not into your tv as it comes on with tv don't really need it in the day you can extend the wire and plug it into wall adapter and for the price it's as close as your going to get to the right colour temp of 6500k extra £20 to improve the picture of your tv for me its a no brainer

Was great for 3 months, then started flickering slightly, now after 4 months it's completely dead
Bought this for my TV, fitted ok. The USB plug on the end isn't the greatest, it's not like a real usb so it's abit awkward and a bit of a tight fit.Worked well at first, I was really impressed but after 3 months it started to flicker very gently, thought it could be a problem with loose USB connection with the TV so I reseated it and now it will not work at all, completely dead. When it worked it was brilliant, really enhanced the picture on my 49" LG, shame

Product was working great ... Until it wasn't
Got this product in January and I was really impressed. The USB connection was a bit tight but installing the lights was easy enough. The quality of the lights was great and really made a difference to my viewing experience (See first image). However, my lights have stopped working after just over a month. After looking into why they stopped working, I've noticed a complete tear in the connection from the USB portion to where the LED lights begin. This has happened despite the lights not being disturbed. I am extremely disappointed in this and expected a lot better quality for the price. The 2nd and 3rd images show the damage to the wire - Don't really think this is fixable and would expect the product to last a lot longer than approximately 6 weeks.

Luminoodle USB Bias Lighting (Large) 30"-40"
I was impressed with the quality of the product! The brightness is just right on point... it's not too bright nor too dim... does a great job bringing out the contrast of the TV and darken the blacks visually. I personally have the 2019 Samsung 43inch Q60R TV in my bedroom... the colours are fantastic on this TV but the TV does have clouding/light bleeding in the corners especially noticeable at night in a dark environment but with this installed, I no longer see the clouding/light bleeding on my TV and the contrast is definitely much better! I've read some reviews talking about the lights not turning off automatically when you turn off the TV but mine turns off about 3 seconds after the TV is turned off. I plugged mine in on the USB that says (5V, 1A) for references to people wanting to try this product out. Also I purchased the Large (30-40 inch) version but you'll have more than enough for a 43 inch TV. All in all, I highly recommend this Luminoodle USB Bias Lighting.

Very Good Quality. Bright. Cooler Color Temp. Power Within USB 3 Spec
Works great. My only complaint is that the light is more blueish, while I prefer a more reddish (lower, “warmer” temperatures). I knew this going in, and for me, the convenience of the optional RF dimmer switch and the USB power trump this minor complaint.I installed the 118” “Large” Luminoodle kit on a Vizio P55-c1 (55” 4K TV). I installed in on the back where the back was parallel with the wall behind it. Because the rear of my TV is slightly curved around the edges (~5” radius), the “flat” area that I applied it to ended up being about 3” in from the left, right, and top. If you’re unsure what size you need, measure out a piece of string and see how well that would work. Note also the connector length when considering placement. It’s a very thoughtful design, with a flat cable and bi-directional USB connnector. The adhesive is genuine 3M OEM molding tape. This is the stuff they use in the automotive world to e.g. stick the chrome model name of the car onto the car. Trust me, it’s what you want. Once applied (you peel the red tape off from the grey adhesive, which itself is stuck on one side to the back of the flexible Luminoodle circuit board), it’s not going anywhere until you want it to. As long as you have clean hands and a clean surface (dust the back of your TV before applying the Luminoodle), you’ll be able to re-stick it as long as you’re careful if you mess up initially. Again, it’s the best stuff that they could have possibly used. Measure it out and plan where you want to install it before you go to stick it on and you’ll do well.I also went for the optional RF dimmer switch, which is equally great, and shares the flat cable + bidirectional USB connector (you can plug it in “backwards” and it works fine). I control it using a Broadlink RM-Pro, which is another IMO very good product. The RF range is good, there are MANY brightness levels, and the interface is simple. As some of you have been, I was curious about the actual power draw for the large size. I measured using two genuine Apple 110v USB adapters - the 5W iPhone adapter and the 12W iPad adapter. With the dimmer on full bright, the 118” Large Luminoodle drew [email protected] (3.7 watts). On the dimmest setting, it was drawing [email protected] (this was running through a USB 3 extension cable into my TV’s USB 2.0 port -> tester -> dimmer on lowest setting -> Luminoodle).TL;DR a USB 3.0 port should be able to provide 900mA of power at 5v. This draws less than that in all circumstances for the large size, even with the dimmer. If your TV has a USB port that is blue inside, this will work as bright as it can possible go. If you only have USB 2.0, there’s a small chance that your TV will complain about the device drawing too much power for the Large size (not sure if other sizes draw less power, but they *should*) and you’d have to potentiallly use a USB wall adapter or something.
