The institutions basically just say 'sew it'. However, the string is too big to thread and knot a needle like you would in normal sewing. The type of sewing knit they use in all the pictures looks great... but worth no instructions we couldn't figure out how to do it. So we just did the normal in and out pattern that I know how to do. My daughter was super disappointed because she wanted the fancy sewing shown on the package. But with literally no instructions it's impossible to figure out and we feel super ripped off.

The directions wanted you to do a specific stitch, but it didn't show you how to do it. It was a bit difficult for my 5 year old to complete on her own. Didn't quite seem like a beginner sewing kit.

Sticker enhancements seemed old because the adhesive no longer worked

Comes with everything your little crafter will need except scissors. Loved that each craft is individually packaged. So I can give her one at a time so that there isn't a gumbled mess she's trying to dig through! The instructions are pretty vague but my daughter didn't need them anyways. With the box pictures she was able to piece the crafts together on her own! It's a great gift for a crafty kid!

My daughter loves making things and being creative. She also loves staring at her devices! This is a good way to entertain her for a while and get her to unplug.I only had to provide minimal help to get her started. She had watched mommy sew before so she had a clue, but needed to be shown once how to set the "needle and thread" up. AFter that, she worked independently and did a good job.It's made to be easy and build confidence so should be fun for most kids. My little one is 7
