Great connector
These are easy to use (as are the original style WAGO connectors). Allow for straight thru connections.Only potential CON was they take up alot of room in a box, but so do wire nuts.

It literally couldn’t be easier
The only way splicing wires could be easier than using this is if you paid someone else to do it for you. Super strong hold and fantastically easy to use. The only thing you have to do is strip the wire to the right length and insert it. Well worth the price to not go through the hassle of using wire nuts.

A Klutz's Best Friend
I've had a long love affair with WAGO, starting with the old push-in 773/2273 line, through the sort of oval 222 line, and now to the 221's. Like an ex-president I'm always moving on to something newer and younger, generally of foreign origin. I've always had problems with twist-on connectors: as an occasional home DIYer I never practiced enough to get it down and when I bought the drill driver attachment that just allowed me to REALLY umm... screw things up. And after the fire department left I'd be faced with undoing the screw up and trying to redo the work correctly, but now with wires that would easily double as corkscrews. WAGOs: a godsend for people who really should never be allowed near electricity. Each generation has been a notable improvement from the previous. These 221s are wonderfully small, a blessing with the larger smart switches and more ubiquitous GFCI receptacles in today's houses.I've gone through a couple of boxes of the assorted multi-socket ones but these are my first inline two wire connectors and something is definitely queer: As a review in 12/2022 notes, they are shown as only good up to 14 AWG, not 12 AWG like all my previous ones. But that is not queer in itself - perhaps with the inline design something had to be changed. What is odd is that in those same specs their maximum metric cross section, 4 mm squared, is identical to that of the other models... and is the equivalent of 12 AWG. So I think that something got screwed up when the German manufacturer Americanized the specs. I did a quick test, running a 15A space heater through a splice, and my thermometer didn't show anything different from when I did it with the older 221's. I'm happy with that but if your work is going to be inspected it could be interesting: I'd argue that the metric specs were the primary, probably speaking with a foreign accent.

Awesome!
Wire nuts are a thing of the past! I bought this because I was rewiring an old receptacle & a wire was too short from the original installer. Try sticking 2 hands in a single receptacle box all the way back to put a wire nut (One hand) on 2 wires (Second hand) & that's only because a tool won't grab the small wire.Instead use your linemen's pliers twist & snip the tip & with one hand (No tools) put on & snap close this Wago.Wago's can be during ruff wiring before drywall. Plus pig-tailed receptacles & switches can be added to Wago's without turning off the breaker because there's no removing a wire nut & exposed wires!!! It makes install easier & they fit better in boxes conpared to wire nuts.

Better than wire nuts.

Wish I knew about these sooner!
This product is awesome and easy to use. No wire nuts or electrical tape needed. Used them in my ceiling fan installations. Only issue is that they are a little bulky for tight areas but definitely worth the purchase.
