Olympia Soda Siphon Black 1L with New Useful Features for Better Experience

Great looking item.

This is the first syphon that I have owned, so I don't know if the leakages that I have experienced are normal for soda syphons. I loaded the first charger yesterday and made 3 perfect spritzers. Today the gas pressure is noticeably reduced and doesn't fizz the drink enough, however I made another 3 moderately bubbly spritzers today and there was enough gas left to discharge the last of the water and then continue to release gas until empty, indicating that there was no shortage of gas.This would seem to indicate that pressure has leaked from the syphon overnight and also tells me that I will only get a proper 'fizz' from the first few discharges.The other leak that I am experiencing is that water drips from the spout after each use, this is obviously not a major problem but surprises me.Finally, the instructions advise us not to overfill the syphon with water and there is a "max" marking on the outside of the syphon which is on a solid background and I cannot find any way to use it as a guide.

This siphon works perfectly well and at this price really cannot be beaten. I knock off one star because it is a little slow to dispense but I should perhaps just be more patient! Make sure the water is very cold and give it a good shake when you add the CO2 and you will have lots of lovely, slightly more environmentally friendly, fizzy water. I have an old 1920s sparkletts siphon inherited from my grandparents and this is not a patch on that but this is a quarter of the price and fits in the fridge. Good stuff.

Missing items

It works well but I can’t get really aerated soda. Could it be that I’m using cheap cylinders?

The very first time that I added water, tightened the top down and injected the gas, the water came straight back out of the gas canister inlet valve! Pointless and cheap copy of an original.

As previous review mine leaked despite refilling 4 timesIs this a known fault?.

Cansados de tirar los sifones preparados que se quedan a la mitad encontramos éste bonito sifón que solo hay que reponer el agua y la carga. (Cuidado al comprar las cargas que tienen que ser cartuchos de CO2, no son los mismos para la nata...)

Die auf den ersten Blick eigentlich ganz wertige Eindruck, hat sich bei mir leider bei beiden gelieferten Soda Siphons nach einlegen der CO2 Kapseln als falscher erwiesen. Bei der Ersten Flasche kam das Wasser bei Betätigung des Hebels aus allen Öffnungen des Flaschenkopfes, das wenigste aus dem eigentlich vorgesehenen Hahn. Dacht mir dann, Montagsmodell, kann ja mal vorkommen. Zurückgeschickt, Esatzlieferung, bei der kam die Brühe gleich beim einlegen der CO2 Kapsel aus allen Öffnungen. Eine Fehlbedienung meinerseits denke ich sicher ausschließen zu können.
