One of my boys can clear a room when he does a poo. Now we don’t have to evacuate. We’re using pretty litter in it and it’s not really as deep as recommended by that brand. I’m not noticing any issues though. We did have to remove the door in order to get them to go in. No real issues there either. The air filter seems effective. I wanted to wait a while to review in order to really check it out, but I’m planning to swap out our other boxes with this. It seemed a bit pricey until Felix did the deed and no one noticed. Now it’s priceless.

I have used covered litter boxes for the last 6 years with my 2 cats, and the last one I had was simply old - so I thought I'd buy a new, fancy, electric one that eliminates odors more. Low and behold, I got this garbage machine. After 2 days, I went to clean the litter box - which had barely anything in it and when I pulled out the bottom bin - i had cat urine EVERWHERE. This could be something my cats just do, but I bought the covered litter box because they like to pee in the same spot - and sometimes it hits the sides of the litter box instead of going straight into it - and this box catches nothing.Flash forward to today, the day I'm writing this, I went to clean the box again to be, yet again, covered in cat urine the moment I remove the bottom bin, so I took the whole unit outside to clean it and found it is extremely difficult to take apart and clean the inside of it. Also - because it DOESNT catch the urine, it also DOESN'T catch the cat litter when they bury their stuff. So as my girls are scooping litter over the urine/feces, little bits of cat litter get stuck UNDERNEATH the bin. This added another layer of complexity in removing the bin in the first place. This is the first litter box with removable bottom that I have had this many issues with. Poor design, terrible.After having it for about a week, I have already replaced it. Do not purchase this unit - it is a fancy piece of garbage that belongs in no one's home.On the bright side, very little odor due to the nifty fan mechanics. That gets a 3-star, but coupled with the fact that I have cat urine all over the floor defeats the purpose so overall - the unit should be a 0 star for me.

This litter box is very sturdy. The problem is the door & fan. It’s a great unit. However; your cat really has to get use to the door & the hum of the fan. If your cat has strong poop, the fan will not keep out the smell. If the poop is not smelly, then no problem. We have a good size kitten. She can’t seem to figure out the door, so we choose to remove it. & we don’t turn on the fan. It does keep some the litter mess inside though. Still. Overall… We are pleased with the size & convenience of scooping.

I have 3 cats, one small, one medium, and one large, and so for all 3 it does a pretty bang up job considering. I empty it around once a week and it seems to help a lot with keeping the smell down. It doesnt completely eliminate them, but it does a good job at minimizing. I do recommend the door be on. If your cats dont like the door flap dont get it because it wont do nearly as well.The box itself is quite large. I got the big one but it was still a lot bigger than anticipated. The tray is also fairly deep so if your cat likes to dig around they’ll like it. Everything is quite simple to put together. It took my husband maybe 5 minutes. Even I wouldnt take long and im hopeless at putting stuff together.The only really annoying thing is that it definitely has to stay plugged into a wall so theres a minimum amount of places you can put it. The buttons on the top that control the power and fan are super sensitive so the cats can turn it off if they jump on it or you have a smart one. Id suggest covering them or just double checking every once in a while. Its extremely quiet. I cant even hear the fan working even though it is, so that is quite nice.

So happy with this purchase after i almost smashed the litter maid auto clean piece of junk I bought a week ago. This is the solution because I found the auto clean box always jamming and scraping the bottom, more work than scooping and waste basket mess. Yes, scooping is required with this box but the beauty is its deep so no much better clumping, NO odor and actually less work than an auto clean. It’s also nicer on the eye than exposed box with fecal matter stuck on the prongs.

I have a large cat and I thought this product would be good. It was relatively easy to put together, but not easy to take apart. The fan didn't work, and it leaked every time my cat used it. Urine leaked out of the box and the litter was not easily contained in the box. It was a complete and utter mess. Finally, to add insult to injury, I had to pay $7 to return it. Very, very disappointing. Think long and hard about purchasing this product as it is pricey and you will pay to return this defective product.

Works well for keeping the Pooh smell down but the flaw is in where the top of the slide-out tray meets the box shell. If the cat pees on the inside walls of the box, it runs down the sides and under the tray causing difficulty clean up as you have to take the entire box out and hose it down.

My little pet loves it and the ammonia odor that I would normally have in the room is now not a problem.
