Given the number of road trips we are taking I wanted something to keep in the car just in case it breaks down. I figured it would be just what I needed since they are DOT approved.Many years ago I used to carry road flares in my car and I was expecting these to take about the same amount of room. I was surprised at both the size of the carrying case and the overall weight. I was honestly hoping that when collapsed each triangle would be about the same size as a flare. Boy was I wrong. As other reviewers point out, the case is made out of thin plastic and is quite flimsy. Since the base is already filled with sand the carrying case loaded with three triangles is heavy. Given the size and weight I’m wondering if I really should just carry a single triangle so I have more room in the trunk for luggage.On the positive side the reflection is good as you can see in the photo. In the photo the triangles are placed at 50’, 100’ (the recommended distance), and 150’. My car was parked in the garage with the headlights on. The base seems stable and the ‘feet’ at the bottom end of the triangles adds stability if there’s a cross wind.The way the sides of the triangle attach at the top seems a little weak and I wish there would be a more positive snap when they are attached.I took one star off given the flimsy case and the way the triangle snaps together.Overall, these should do the job and hopefully the car will never break down and I won’t have a need to use the safety triangles.

I’ve been trying to find that for a minute and I’m not disappointed with the quality ! I haven’t put it in use yet I kept one in my car and one home and the other one is actually being very useful cuz I have it shipped with my car overseas and it’s a requirement to have in my home country !Adds safety and visibility

These are very large triangles for roadside safety. Be aware that they come in a large plastic box to store in your trunk and are really heavy duty (think 18 wheeler safety) but I mean this in a good way. Hopefully I never have to use them but, if I do I am sure they will do exactly what they are intended to do.

First, the triangles themselves are very nice - not heavily constructed for everyday use, but for those tire and breakdown emergencies. The weighted base keeps them in place and they fold up easily when not in use. The issue is the very thin plastic case - the case is important since they will spend most of their life in the case bouncing in the trunk or under the seat. The lid barely stays on; there is no positive retention on it, and comes off way too easily. This could be a very nice set if the case was better.

These triangles are very sturdy. The base is pre-filled with sand and ready to use right out of the box. There are three in a pack. It goes together very easily. This is something great to have in the trunk because it's not matter of IF you break down, it's a matter of WHEN. The only thing I can ask for is a nicer, sturdier case. I have a older set which I purchased from a big box years ago which came in a nice zippered soft case with a handle. The case this comes in is a very flimsy plastic.

I ordered these reflective triangle to keep in the trunk of my cars.They are made of high quality plastic with reflective material shaped in a triangle form. These are filled with sand in the base to keep them upright and very stable even in high winds.Great for safety while stopped on the road.

Poorly made compared to others. Came with a note saying "please fill with sand" Like I want to go buy a bag of sand to fill 3 triangles.
