I am honestly baffled by the quantity of positive reviews for this product. This chess set is by far one of the biggest disappointments in my entire experience of buying items on Amazon. I suppose it gets the job done if you simply want to play a single game of chess and do not care about the appearance of your board or its potential for repeated use, but if you are looking at glass chess sets you already care about getting a set that looks nice and cool. I'd suggest right now to just move along. Spend a little extra for a glass chess set that is better than this, because this one is terrible.Our board and the accompanying chess pieces arrived with several blemishes and chips in the glass. The set was packed VERY tightly and completely secure in its styrofoam padding, so I don't believe these blemishes are related to the shipping process. The board had multiple scratches straight out of the box, and there are several white/frosted spots on the face of it that almost look like little drops of paint somehow contaminated the glass where it is supposed to be clear at some point in the manufacturing process. There are also 4 random cloudy/frosty streaks across the board, and two of its corners were chipped (no glass shards/scaps in the box, so I know it was like this before it shipped). The chess pieces were similarly marred by tiny chips, streaks, spots, and every single one of the felt bottoms fell off when we tried to remove them from the box. Without the felt tips, many of the pieces are unable to remain balanced on the board and tip over repeatedly. I am certain they would shatter if a piece was accidentally dropped or knocked off the table during game play. I am also certain the board and all of the pieces would be extremely vulnerable to new scratches and chips if it is used regularly to play chess.It is most certainly not suitable to be a chess board that sits on the shelf or coffee table for decoration because it looks awful, and it's not practical for playing chess on a regular basis because the quality is, again, awful. Looks cheap, feels cheap, is cheap.

Me preocupaba que las piezas llegaran talladas o golpeadas, pero en mi caso llegó todo en buen estado. A las piezas se les nota la línea del molde, fuera de eso me parece buen producto, estoy conforme con la relación calidad - precio.
