Only arrived and will be put to use tomorrow. Quality looks every bit as good as you'd expect from a visual overview of taps and die sets. The attraction to this set for me was the selection of different tap and die thread pitches. Doing my own car maintenance the 1.25 pitch will be invaluable along with the 1.50 pitch on larger taps.This was the deal breaker and being on amazon prime day made the purchase even more attractive.

Poor quality looks like it will snap very easily. Better to spend a bit more money to get something that's at least reasonable quality.

As a bit of a diy klutz, I admit to tightening bolts the wrong way, ending up with leaking sump pans on cars, etc. This kit will allow me to rectify my ineptitude and create new threads on chewed and cross threaded holes.It's pretty well equipped with everything you need. It's perhaps deceptive in size as you get both imperial and metric unit tools, so if you don't need one or the other, then it's really a 41 piece kit. Some of the dies feel a bit rough around the edges, something you might notice if you have higher end tools. The taps and dies go from M3 to M12 bolt sizes, with a couple of thread sizes for each (similarly for Imperial) and there's a thread gauge to help.The set is quite good value, in a neat box for storage, and cheaper than the last repair to my oil sump. Great for the DIYer - now where's my lubricant...

The media could not be loaded.  Excellent case, durable, wide range of items, high quality and great value for money. My husband was so happy when I gave him this briefcase. He said it works very well and is a quality standard.

I have a cheap, smaller set of taps and dies, but it often doesn’t have the size I need.As a handyman I mainly use them to repair damaged threads, often caused by cross-threading, but occasionally use them for “start to finish” projects.I believe this set will fulfil everything I need. I am sure a jobbing engineer would be pleased with them.There are full instructions – I was taught how to use them in metalwork classes but lots of people might come across them for the first time.It comes complete with handles and a thread gauge. The case is well designed and easy to use – you would think this is always the case, but it isn’t.
