Beautifully versatile
I've often admired Dutch Ovens in magazine pictures of kitchens. So when this one was on sale during Amazon Prime Days, and in a beautiful blue color that would pop in my kitchen, I had to order it. It's cast iron with a ceramic coating. It's heavy-duty and has a good fitting lid. It's made to be used on the stove or in the oven, or to go straight from the stove and into the oven! The first time I used it was to make baked beans. After a few hours of cooking, the inside of the pot was all brown and splattered and I thought "oh no, what have I done? I've ruined my new pot!: But lo and behold, that ceramic coating made clean-up a breeze - everything wiped off and the inside was as good as new! I use this Dutch Oven often enough that I don't really need space in the cabinet to store it because it's so versatile, and it's beautiful so I don't mind seeing it on my stove even when it's not being used. There are more expensive Dutch Ovens but if you're like me and just getting introduced to them, this one is a good one to start with.

Excellent Dutch Oven!
Have had for a week, using it to bake bread. So far have baked four times with it and it works perfect for what I do . Beautiful blue color, and inside cleans so easy. Glad I bought it.

I love everything. I wanted to invest in a Dutch Oven for years. I was going to buy one of those $700 brands. I just could not justify. I did my research. To test my theory I just risked it and bought this. I have fried. I have braised, I have stewed. I have poached. I have baked. I have roasted. I have sauted. I have maded ham. Baked chicken. Ham. Steak tips. Deserts. Mac and Cheese....The list goes on. The enamaled cast iron is a workhorse. The color is gorgeous. It is true to the manufacuturers promise to do what is says as long as you follow the rules. You cannot go wrong. I have put this from refrigerator to 450 degree oven. Lid and all!! It is heavy. It is hot, buy the appropriate tools. Lid cover. Trivets for the counter. Good potholders. Cleaning is a job. But soak it in the sink; warm water for a bit. Do no use abrasives. It is easy. Buy this your food is better than it has ever been and I can cook

Buy it
Nice size , color was ombre of blues. The weight is nice, made great soup, frying, and didn't stain when I left spaghetti and BBQ sauce in it over night. Darked pieces which cooked on the pan come right up with liquid as you deglaze the plan and don't stain the cream surface. Even cooking, and lid is sturdy. Chef approved.

Mostly Good.
I love the color, the size, the weight of it. It was packed very well and arrived quickly. My only negatives are the enamel chipped a tiny bit in one spot the first time I used it. And, things stick to the bottom. Badly. With oil. This is my first dutch oven so maybe I just haven't learned the tricks yet. Overall I'm very happy with it, except how easily it chipped.

Perfect for Sourdough Bread baking
I needed a dutch oven that could heat to 500 degrees. The one I have now only recommends up to 450. So I decided to look for the least expensive one on Amazon that would go to 500 & came across this. I figured if it cracks, I only spent $47 on it. Well, I use it all the time for my sour dough breads, since 9/23, and it's totally fine! Works great! And, unlike my friends who use their $$ Le Creuset dutch oven, this one hasn't gotten nearly as "black marked" stained as theirs. If you need a vessel that is a reasonable price for sourdough breads, get this.(Also, look often here as the price changes for different colors. Eventually, you can get it for less than what they're showing now)

Love this pot!!
Why did I wait so long to own an enameled Dutch oven. Seen these being used in so many recipes so I did some research. I was not willing to spend $300 on one. This one can be used up to 500 degrees most are only 400. Which is important for good quality enamel. This pot far exceeded my expectations. The heat distribution is so even and heats up quickly. The enamel is excellent quality I have used several times stove top and baking and it is super easy to clean effortless in fact. Those who have complained about cracks need to understand it must completely cool before you put any cold water on it. Also from what I have read don’t use olive oil to the point it smokes it can stain the pot. Make sure to use vegetable oil in cases you need to cook on high heat. Always use a wood or plastic spoon do not use metal as it’s rough and can scratch the enamel. Use Bar keepers friend or Bon Ami if you need to scrub a tough stains this will not scratch the enamel. I am so pleased with this Dutch oven. Look forward to some of the other products from this manufacturer.
