G5-G7 25 Note Glockenspiel with Coloured Keys

Bought this as a Christmas gift for my musically-minded autistic son, so while he has to wait until Dec 25 to get his hands on it, I've had a look at it and, overall, am delighted with the purchase. The sound is fine, it is in tune (he has another, smaller, one which he likes a lot, but it has a couple of 'duff' notes, and, through his autism, he knows this and gets frustrated because he is unable to find the correct tone.). I love the fact that it is contained in a case that makes it easily portable. The clips that lock the case do appear a little flimsy, and I worry that Mini Me might easily break them, but chances are he won't be locking and unlocking it anyway, we'll do this. Overall, excellent quality and good value for money.

Gifts for children which are easy to pack away are great keeping all parts together. This was for a 7month old chap who has just learnt to sit. He is exploring the different notes and Mummy having a second set of soft sticks can also join in. The gentle noise if the notes is most appreciated and being tunes actual tunes will also be possible in the future - a top gift for many ages and the coloured notes are a great help to start with.

I bought this for my 2 year old son and he loves it. Great for his dad too. The notes are the correct tones, so it is easy to play tunes if you know how. The only thing I'd question is the plastic case, which forms part of the instrument, may not be the sturdiest if he choses to stand on it. We haven't come across that hurdle yet.

I bought this for the Residents of a care home and although it looks like a childs toy it is sturdy and in tune, I know it is because I tested it with our piano which has just been tuned. I thought at first it wasn't but I didn't include the top blue notes in the run. Hold the hammers lightly and try to bounce them in the middle of the note to produce the best sound. Altogether a good buy especially with the case attached.

This is a really good instrument, I like the fact that it has more than an octave and also has the sharps and flats, so real tunes can be played on it. The first one I received was out of tune so I returned it, it was replaced quickly and the new one is perfect. My grandson (he's just one) loves just to get a noise out of it at the moment but I'm sure it will prove to be really educational as well as fun.

This is worth every penny. Child was very happy and the sound is crisp and clean. Build quality is great.Highly recommended...

After reading other reviews on this item I decided to purchase for my 7 year old son. Very good quality, nice case. Only dissapointment was that it didn't come with some simple music sheets to get him started. Other than that I am very happy with this.

A very nice glockenspiel for my son.Unfortunately it looked like the assembly line had put it together in a hurry because the foam rests for the keys were all misaligned and falling off. This killed all note resonance on some of the keys.I had to take the whole thing to pieces, which wasn’t too difficult, and realign the foam.It now plays as it should.

Whole thing is made up from plastic beside the metal colorfull percusion plates. You cant remove the instrument from the plastic cover, you can use it just as pictured. I ordered new part and recieved opened with damaged box. Instrument is not 100% tuned properly but as a toy oki. I will hesitate to pay the full price.

Es un buen producto. Lo que te llega a casa es lo que te enseñan en la página. La caja con la que vino el carillón era muy sólida, por lo que el producto vino sin ningún daño.
