the instructions were not clear and took a while to put it together. Did not like it product after i finally did get it put together. Would NOT buy again.

I wanted a tray for the kids when we travel. First, it does clearly say NOT to use the tray when driving and I do agree that it is probably dangerous to have the tray open in the event of an accident. I went ahead and assembled the tray and noticed that the plastic quality was not that great. It felt like with just a few issues, it would break or crack. One of the pieces that concerned me the most was the latch that keeps the tray closed. You can see a closeup of the latch on the third picture. In order to close of open the tray, you need to use this latch. To open, you slide the button over to release the latch. It is very difficult to slide that button over to release the latch. I really had to press down firmly and then try to slide it over.They give you a non slip piece that sits on top of the tray. It is not secured and when you fold the tray inside the car, it flops around and falls off (see last picture).The cup holder is designed to be folded and it inside the tray. When you take it out to use, you'll notice that the plastic is really flimsy. Also, it is not designed to be used a thicker insulated thermos or bottles.Mounting it to the seat was not very difficult and they do give you various inserts so that it snuggly fits onto the rails of the headrest. Once you attach to the headrest rails, you would unlock the tray and then extend the two rods to keep the tray stable. Again, the two rods as well as the locking mechanism that holds the rods in place are made using very flimsy plastic and I can see it breaking with a few uses.The reason for the 3 stars and the most inconvenient aspect of the tray is that when you fold the tray, it hangs vertically on the seat (See last picture). Because it hangs vertically, it was very difficult to get in and out of the back seat. Now, they do give you an elastic strap which I think maybe to secure the tray to the seat, but without any mention in the instructions on how to use it, I tried a few different ways and none of them worked.I am not sure if the design was made so that you have to remove the entire tray every time after you use it but then it defeats the purpose of having a convenient tray you can use for everyday use and also for long trips.

I really like this tray! It is super nice to have the capability to adjust the height and the depth from the seat because sometimes my kids use it and they are all different sizes right now. The tray has stabilizers to support the tray against the back of the seat that it is connected to. This product also comes with rubber inserts to go into the hooks that grip around the seat's head rest. This is super convenient because the thickness of the hardware connecting the headrests to the seats varies from vehicle to vehicle. For instance, I didn't even use the rubber inserts because the hooks fit perfectly in my minivan without them.The surface has a rubber mat that works really well to keep objects stationary. There are two cup holders and the tray slides toward the person using the tray to reveal them. It includes a couple of tabs to hold a cell phone in place to watch videos, etc. while keeping the phone out of the way of food, coloring, paperwork, etc. that is on the tray surface. The rubber placemat can also easily be removed if preferred.The issue that I am currently having, is that I haven't yet discovered how to keep the rubber placemat flat against the surface of the tray while it is folded up and out of use. There is an elastic band that was included, but I didn't see a photo of it in the instructions and I am assuming that it connects somehow to keep the rubber mat from moving, but I'm honestly not sure. This is part of the reason I am giving 4 stars rather than 5.I also think that the design is fabulous, however the little clasp that keeps the tray in place while it is folded up, it somewhat difficult to use one-handed. I would say that if you intend to fasten the tray into place, it would require two hands. Though, I will say that the tray seems to stay in place if the clasp is simply pushed into the hole without sliding the fastener over to "lock" the clasp into place.Overall, I would recommend this product and purchase additional trays for the other seats in my van! Highly satisfied!

I have purchased a couple different trays for the backseat of the car and have always been disappointed but not this time! This tray is very sturdy and has a lot of adjustments to make it fit the situation just right. The height can be raised or lowered and it can extend outward a few inches to open the cupholder and tablet/phone slot. There are braces on the back that can be adjusted to insure that the tray is level and doesn't move around a lot. There is a non-skid mat that fits on the top but can also be removed for washing. In the center of the main brace that holds the tray is an adjustable grip that will hold a phone and can be turned either portrait or landscape. There is also a clip that holds the tray up and out of the way so it doesn't have to be completely removed when it is not in use. I am very satisfied with it and plan to purchase another one for a gift.
