Theoretically should work well in keeping Temps down.
After days of research on ssds and how the airflow works on the PS5, and all the "overhearing issues " people have. I decided to do a combination of things.Since the system pulls in air from the top front portion, the air naturally travels over the original ssd cover slot. Using negative pressure, it "pulls" the warmer air out of that ssd slot pocket. However. If you have an ssd with a heatsink slightly taller than the two groved slots, this effect is completely negated. The ps5s fans help pull air towards the internal heat sinks, so I opted not to get the covers woth the "fan holes" as this would limit the negative pressure airflow that is required to go over the ssd cover and slot.I found this cover to be the best at what I need it to do.It is made of aluminum, and perforated to allow air to travel freely out of the slot.In theory, the way the air flows over that portion, it should help pull thay warm air away from the ssd slot. The added benefit of the heatsink slightly touching the cover slot, should help it dissipate the heat off the ssd heatsink a little more as well.Ontop of this cover, I also opted to get the ac Infinity fans and had it set to pull the air out towards the back wall. Hit air rises, so it fit it in the highest section behind the ps5. Came with a temp probe and controller so it auto kicks on depending on my settings. My ps5 even after 8 hours of nonstop gaming is cool to the touch. Slightly warmer towards the bottom rear of the console as to be expected. But not "hot".I vaccume out the ps5 every month and it seems to be doing a solid job. Can't tell if the cover is helping or not since I didn't complete any tests to prove it.Overall it's a clean look and easy to install. Really wish they made it so you can reuse the oem playstation screw but it's nice of them to provide a longer screw. My only gripe is that they didn't include a bottom latch like the oem or other covers have. So the cover isn't really pressed into place. It's just being held down by the screw.

“Cool” idea
I added a new M.2 ssd (2Tb), with heat sink, to my ps5. Overheating has been an issue with some users as the new ssd will add more heat to an already “warm” running system. This cover gives me the piece of mind that Al least some of the newly generated heat can escape. Fit is perfect with the newly provided screw. Would def recommend.

Looks good
Seems to be working great!

Fit without issue, only one small gripe.
Fit without issue, lost one star due to it not having the little lip to attach to the ps5 securely like the factory cover. The cover is only held on by the longer screw they provide, but now the other side is slightly lifted when screwed all the way in.

What I was looking for
Well made machined metal SSD cover. Open vents to help dissipate heat. Very pleased with this product. Comes with a new longer screw that will be needed for install. this product is thicker than original SSD cover.
