These are great value for money and work as specified, but be sure to buy decent batteries because cheaper ones don't seem to be long enough to make a full connection with the terminals. Expensive name brand batteries were a tight fit and made good contact while cheaper batteries were loose and sometimes didn't make contact until the battery cover was pressed in. Double check this if your light doesn't appear to be working on first use.

I purchased these for work after local banks warned of fake note usage rising in the local area and informed us that the note pens we were using were not always 100% effective (found that one out the hard way). This product has two functions: A torch, for viewing the watermark on notes A UV light, for viewing the ultraviolet security markings on notes (if you don't know what these are the Bank of England website has guides on the security features to look for on banknotes). The product uses 3xAA batteries (not included), and since purchasing this product over six months ago we have not changed the batteries once - admittedly this product is not used heavily and has some good name batteries in it so this was to be expected. You get two banknote checkers in the box so is ideal if you have more than one till or store. Quite a few dodgy notes have been caught using this before they reach the till so it really has been well worth the money. It's also given staff a bit more peace of mind when accepting currency they're not familiar with (eg Scottish banknotes). Highly recommended.

Good light - not very bright but all arrived and work fine. I’ll be using them for a light party and writing secret messages or morse code.

The torch is useful as a backup/ portable way to check for fake notes. But the light is very dim. This is the key criticism of the product. If was a lot brighter it would be perfect. Means that you have to hold the torch right next to the note to get it to light up. Have to check each part/ feature of the bank note separately. (have to hold so close feels like you are examining a diamond!) We also have a standard UV light note checker that plug into the mains that is much brighter and can check all the features of the note in one go. Much quicker to use. One thing I didn't appreciate would be so useful when bought is the standard torch. Great for checking the watermarks rather than holding up to a ceiling light.

Works well on most currencies I've used and good with plastic and paper notes. yet to find a dud note yet!! Nice working product and good for use at Boot Sales if you're a seller!!!

ALL I CAN SAY ABOUT THIS PRODUCT IS THAT I BOUGHT THEM FOR 4 FRIENDS WHO ARE MARKET TRADERS & ARE GETTING FED UP OF BEING HANDED DUFF 10/20 QUID NOTES 😞. WELL, NOT ANYMORE 😃. WITH THE ASSISTANCE OF 'ULTRAVIOLET TECHNOLOGY' THESE LITTLE BEAUTIES HAVE ASSISTED THEM MANY TIMES SINCE I HANDED THEM TO THEM 👍.

Just received this product. Very flimsy. Fell apart when I tried to put in the batteries. Don't think I will bother trying to get a refund - just put it straight into the bin. I will buy a pen next time - but not from this company.

Easy to use and batteries seem to be lasting a long time. A good price as well,one of the cheapest and certainly best value ones we found.

This is a very cheap Chinese uh lamp/torch. It does it’s job but the light is super dim. If you turn off the light however and use it during the night it’s a whole different story. This little fella is a good and cheap way to find grease stains in the kitchen or any kind of stain that is hard to see with the naked eye.

Le lampade sono arrivate nei tempi previsti. Sembrano, ad una prima analisi, funzionare benissimo. La luce uv potrebbe apparire un po' fioca, ma cmq si tratta di un apparecchio a batterie e altri simili (direi quasi identici), ma molto molto più costosi ("professionali") non sono più potenti. Il proprio lavoro cmq lo fa. Sono molto soddisfatto, infatti questo è il secondo ordine che effettuo.

Queste lampade a raggi ultravioletti fanno il loro grandissimo dovere, necessitano di 4 batterie AA ciascuna, poiché sprecano tantissima energia! Se la luce uv vi sembra poca, è normale.. queste lampade devono essere utilizzate totalmente al buio soprattutto per scoprire eventuali documenti falsi o banconote false, ma anche sotto la luce si comportano bene. Rispetto alle torce uv, queste hanno una intensità tale da consentire di vedere gli UV più profondi nei documenti e nelle banconote, quindi sono davvero ottime!! Il Rapporto qualità prezzo è eccellente!!
