Anchor HockingHeritage Hill Storage Jar 4.0l Annealed Glass

I am lazy cook, I prefer to measure using the cups and spoons rather than scales.I was finding measuring cups of flour from a 1.5kg bag a bit of a pain so I opted to buy a few jars for my flour. At first I chose a 2l kilner jar but the largest cup that'd fit in the opening was the 1/2cup with no room for levelling so I decided to look for another jar. I saw these on the Barefoot Contessa and thought they looked fab.The 4Ltr = 1 Gallon, holds just under 2 x 1.5kg bags of flour.The neck of the jar is almost as big as the sides so there is plenty of room for levelling full cups.The jars are heavy (feels like pyrex) They are made in America and should last a very long time. The lids have no gaskets but seem sturdy enough to last,However.. Glass is glass and when miss handled will chip,crack or smash so just a little care will be needed whilst removing and returning the lid. I

Jar arrived but wasn't made properly the Jar wasn't round and also has sharp edges, i cant see how this is priced over £21 it seems a lot less going by the quality of the item and the above problems, i returned the item but they triad to charge me for returning a faulty item? Didn't even get a refund after some time had to call and only then did they process the refund, defiantly don't recommend the seller or item.

La taille est vraiment bonne je ne m'en lasse pas. Aussi je garde des biscuits dedans et ils restent au sec, je recommande ce produit.

I am so impressed with these - they are a steal at 13.99, I couldn't find anything comparably priced in stores. All four arrived without any chips or cracks. There are stickers on them but they came off easily with no residue. There is no seal so I wouldn't use these for food but they are lovely to store cookie cutters in an attractive way - I'd say they could easily hold 40 regular-sized cutters.

I made the mistake of being uber cheap for several months on my jar for kombucha and was making my brew in a glass bunch bowl scrounged at the thrift store. Finally after months of drinking vinegary swill I decided to "splurge" and get this jar from anchor hocking. I placed my tea and scoby into the jar, let it do its thing for two weeks and sampled the brew just today. Wow! the diameter of this jar is perfect for allowing a super thick healthy scoby to form at the top of the brew. This makes an air tight seal that prevents any of the carbonation from escaping and makes delicious sparkling kombucha. I actually feel embarrassed I wasted so much time with my stupid punch bowl and I wouldn't share this story if I wasn't so happy with the results of this jar. If you're a home brewer this jar will work perfectly.I got this jar for seven dollars not to long ago. Since then the price has jumped quite a bit, but I have a feeling that in a little bit they'll lower it again. Shopping amazon is just a matter of catching the price at the right time it seems. I'd hangout and wait for the seven dollar price tag again and then jump on it right away.Yep, that's all I've got. Cheers!
