Acoustic Energy Aego Sound3ar Soundbar and Subwoofer

I was looking for simple stereo Soundbar for my mancave for quite some time now. The TV is 43” and the room is 10x10 feet (3x3m). Every soundbar or speaker set I’ve checked was either too big or didn’t have any bass. I’m mostly playing games on my Xbox and sometimes watching movies and TV series.There is really no point in surround system in such a small space. I had a look at many 2.1 systems, including PC and gaming speakers. They all either have no optical input or no remote…Aego Sound3ar is ideally suited for such a small space. There is good stereo for the size and the bass is plenty (and can be regulated). The soundbar is projecting sound upwards at an angle, which is great if one is sitting close to the TV. The remote is rudimentary but it works. Just remember to set your source (gaming console or TV) to Stereo PCM as surround sound does not work with this soundbar. Might be a minus for some, but that’s what I wanted, due to the size of my room.I can recommend Aego Sound3ar for small rooms, like mine. Simple, but not expensive and does the job. Amazing sound quality, also great for music.

Never got it to work properly. On quiet bits in the film, the speaker cuts out. Had specialists look at the whole set up but still not right.

Goes reasonably well with our Samsung 40" TV,larger screens would require a wider sound bar.One metre wide and more Sound Bars are not to my liking, this one is just 50cm wide and sits well in front of the TV screen.Bass level reduced to my satisfaction. Excellent compact soundbar that is ideal for complementing my new Samsung 32" TV - the improvement in the quality of sound over that from the TV is impressive and music played via bluetooth from my tablet computers is equally impressive. I found that it is possible to connect the soundbar to my Samsung TV via bluetooth also, thus negating the need for an optical connection. The physical quality of the aluminium soundbar and the sub-woofer give an air of quality that belies the low price. Excellent bit of kit that I can thoroughly recommend.
