Doodle Invasion: Zifflin's Coloring Book: Volume 1

Gorgeous doodles, great to pass the time or get you through rougher times and great fun for adults and older kids/teens. Definitely put a piece of thick paper or card between the page you are colouring and the next, especially with felt pens, to avoid bleeding and pressure marks, though, as the paper isn't the thickest.Bought this to help with those days when even sitting up is too hard. Chronic illness, especially pain and exhaustion, make it really difficult to do so many things and sometimes, your inclination to do things is further reduced because you know you will have to stop at a really inconvenient point, or that you can't pick it up and down between breathing away the pain. Colouring is great for this. I started initially years ago (end of the 90s) using ordinary kids' books. After a while away, it's fantastic to see the amazing range of products now, and this is my utmost favourite, so far. I've not even finished one yet, but oddly, you still feel like you have achieved something because of the design. In addition, it keeps your mind busy trying to find the bits you want to colour the same, but each bit is so small that even when I need to stop every couple of minutes, you don't have to worry about those horrible bands from colouring joins, but big enough that even with my klutzy, drug and disease fuddled mind I can still stay pretty much in the lines with fine tip Sharpies. I say pretty much because even in my thirties, I still struggle with that concept!This book is a wonderful distraction, and I'm hoping will increase my sense of achieving something. It certainly seems to be working so far.

I bought this colouring book as I wanted something a bit different to the ones I normally buy i.e. flowers and animals. This fit the bill nicely and reviewers tend to love it as well.However, some reviewers have mentioned the fact that pens 'bleed' through the blank side of each page. I tend to disagree as I have used various pens, such as Staedtler Triplus, Stabilo 68s and Copic Glitter Pens and only the very dark pens bled through to the other side, and even then very slightly. Because the other side of the drawing is blank I don't find it too much of a problem and the pens certainly do not bleed onto the drawing underneath the one I am working on.You can see in the photographs that I have coloured in 3 drawings already. I have used Stabilos, Copics and Staedtlers in the first photograph, Derwent Coloursofts/Inktense, Staedtler Ergosoft Pencils in the second photograph and Copic Glitter Pens in the 3rd photograph. The more pens/pencils you buy the more fun you will have, for sure. If you buy them singly (not on Amazon) like I do it doesn't become too expensive a hobby, allowing me to buy more colouring books from Amazon!My husband works in the printing industry and told me that - yes - the paper in this book is thin but the quality is very good. My advice to anyone who wants to colour in something a bit different is to buy this book as it certainly is NOT boring and decent pens will not bleed through the paper.

Fantastic book - lots of interesting designs, with little things to make you smile hidden amongst the chaos. They're all in the same style as this one, but varied enough to keep you interested. Out of the whole book, there are only a couple of pictures I don't really like, which is much better than most colouring books!It's single sided as well, which I love, since it means I can use any kind of pen or paint on it without worrying about ruining the picture on the other side of the page when the colour bleeds through.I've only given it 4 stars due to the paper - it's quite thin, and all the pens I've tried have bled through. Not the end of the world as the paper is single-sided, but it would be nice to have better quality paper in it. For colour pencils the paper is too smooth for many layers as well, but the kind of pictures in it don't tempt me to spend a long time blending anyway.Overall, great book, with a fairly minor flaw. I love the pictures so much I've bought a couple of other books my the same artist!

You can only colour so many flowers and mandalas before it all gets a bit boring. I prefer something fun like this. Something where you don't have to worry what colours you use, and you can concentrate on the relaxation of colouring. I've only used pencils so far, but the pens I use are alcohol markers, so I'm used to them bleeding through the paper and it isn't an issue for me. I always cut the page I'm working on out of the book anyway, and rest it on a piece of cardboard so the pens don't mark my table. At least these designs are only on one side of the paper, so you can use markers without ruining the picture on the back.The designs are quirky and intricate, but don't have dozens of those tiny thin bits to colour that cause the very opposite of relaxation when pens bleed over the lines!If you're fed up with flowers, give this a go.

Doodle Invasion: Zifflin's Coloring Book: Volume 1 I decided to start colouring after a friend recommended me to do so to relax. Did plenty of research and looked at countless books before deciding on this product. I'm glad I did, it's so much fun, lots to look at and absorbing. Picture is my first ever go at it, thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Slight issue, I had to put a blank piece of paper underneath as the pages are quite thin and the colour can bleed througha bit, but no a massive problem.

I'm pleased with my purchase of this book as I'd been deliberating over it for a while.. You get one pic per page so your felt tips don't spoil the pic on the other side, I do still put another piece of paper just to make sure though.. The pictures are fab and will keep you colouring for hours on end.. If not you can always go back to it when you feel like it.. I wouldn't buy this book for a child though as I think it's better suited to teenagers and older :-)

Dessins au top, mais attention à protéger la page suivante quand vous coloriez au feutre à alcool ou à eau (twinmarker / waterwarker d'action) car cela passe au travers du papier.Heureusement le livre n'a qu'un dessin au recto de chaque feuille donc cela ne pose pas de soucis tant que vous avez pris vos précautions (et que ça ne vous dérange pas de le voir très nettement sur l'arrière de la page par la suite)

I dont even know what to say other than GET THIS BOOK!!! LOL! Nah, seriously though, if you like to colour small items, and a ton of them, this book is for you!!! If I wasn't low income I'd own every single book Kerby Rosanes has ever done! He is an AMAZING artist, and I have sooooo much fun coloring his doodles and drawings... one review said that the book was too overwhelming and repetitious, so as I say to EVERYONE; do your research BEFORE buying something online... a simple Google search will show you what kind of colouring you're in for! I, personally, LOVE the small doodles, colouring them really reduces my anxiety, and seeing all them smiling faces, I cant resist smiling back! Out of all his books, this one is one of my favorite for sure!!! This and imagimorphia!

Leuke tekeningen maar helaas zeer slechte kwaliteit papier. Zonde.

The media could not be loaded.  Un libro de colorear distinto, original y divertido del gran ilustrador Kerby Rosanes.Dibujos a una sola cara. Las hojas son finas, pero yo he coloreado uno con rotuladores a base de agua y rotuladores de tinta de gel y casi no ha traspasado, ha dejado una ligera sombra al otro lado de la hoja (pongo foto donde se puede ver).Yo siempre recomiendo poner una hoja gruesa por debajo del dibujo que estás pintando para asegurarte que no se mancha la siguiente hoja
