would definitely recommend but only if you know the way people around ...
Gloom is a story telling game of miserable proportions. You control one of 4 families and during this family's life time your aim is to create the most horrific life you possibly can for them.It's a real laugh to put these characters in ridiculous situations, would definitely recommend but only if you know the way people around you think...not one for the super conservative or those that lack a sense of humour!

Expansion deck
I really do wish that sellers would make it clearer when a pack is an expansion requiring the original game to play or a second edition.I did check when buying but have seen that you have to zoom in on the image of the back of the deck to see. It wasn't in the description. Very disappointing as I either need to shell out more money or return it.

Nice expansion pack
You need a Gloom game to play that expansion pack. There are two new features: stories and undead cards with which you may change your family members into undeads (you count them for winning points and they still may get new modifiers). All together, more cards - more fun.

This game is as good as the people you play it with!Heap misfortune on your family whilst trying to make your opponents as happy as possible.Each game will be different as the story you create will alter each time.Thoroughly enjoyable!

Misleading picture product and lack of information
Very disappointed in seller for not stating in text that the game is an expansion, even arrived with the box slightly depressed despite being boxed (no bubble wrap used). Bought this close to Christmas for my brother so had to source the base game elsewhere, managed to find one copy in Dublin and asked a sibling to chip in. As I was looking for just the base game, which is worth the €26-30 mark, the accrued €50 is more than I'd pay for a simple card game with little repeatable gameplay. The money is better spent on Bunny Kingdom or the likes. Delivery was fast however, had it been a standalone expansion I would have been much happier with the overall experience.
