Fits great under my shorts and is great hip protection for falls. 10/10 for Skateboarding

My advice for size is this: These come in sizes of differing 5 inches. Whatever your size is, round up to the next size, unless your size is exactly as stated. Meaning, I am a size 33", so I thought Medium would fit (30-35"), but actually, it's quite tight, and is much more sized at 30", than 35". The material is very stretchy, so toughing it out for two hours or so for a soccer match is all right, but that's because you are full of testosterone and adrenaline, so you wouldn't mind during the match, but it will become uncomfortable as you calm down.The material is tough, there are patches of extra padding, and the two hips have that huge array of protection. I feel it should come with padding for the posterior/tailbone as well, and so that's why I took away a star. Also, at $80, this sounds like professional wear territory?

got these for my son who is goalie for his soccer team. he complained of how much it hurt to hit the ground if he was going after the ball, so i hoped that this would alleviate some of that discomfort by adding some padding to his gear. They are a little tight on him, but he wore them for one game and said that they were ok.

I don't play goalie often, but when I do, my right hip gets hurt a lot. Not anymore with these. The impact on the hips is much softer with these on. I definitely recommend them, specially for cheap artificial turf fields. Life savers there.
