Phone Mount with Dash Tray Storage for 2011-2018 Jeep Wrangler JK JKU

I owned a 2017 Sahara 2 doors Jeep Wrangler. Obviously this car doesn’t have car play, so I need to use my phone for navigation. Tired of the situation finally decided to get something helpful for my phone and I did find this gadget which was well rated by other people on Amazon and even in other couple sites on the internet. It is sturdy. DO not bring the tool to replace the bolt from the dash, so I used some pliers and it came out great. It does bring an extra bolt but I decided to use the same original bolt. Also bring tapes to secure the piece from the bottom to the dash but I decided not to use them. In my opinion with the bolt is just enough. The color matches perfectly with the color of the dash and it is well made, definitely sturdy enough. In terms of stability is the thing that makes me a little sad. Most of the reviews seemed to say that the stability of the phone while driving was not good and it is true. The phone trembles while driving in a regular road (I don’t want to know how it would feel off road 🤣) The phone holds up well. I installed it in October and it’s still been working well (no accidents of my phone falling off from it) It has a bottom on the back to automatically remove the phone and fits a regular IPhone and a Pro Max too. Easy to connect the charger cable, and you can put your phone either horizontally or vertically. The value for the money is worth it and it does hold the phone good. Do recommend!

This holds up pretty well. I have a problem where my dash isn't exactly held into place by the clips like it should. If I pull top hard the plastic shell will pop out of its place so I was concerned with the weight of a phone tugging on it the entire time. I also have an aftermarket radio so I was unable to put a screw into anything. I had to use a nut and bolt to attach the thing. Which it works great. Took it up a mountain on a gravel road and I had 0 issues with it popping the clips out or with the phone. Sure it shakes quite a bit even on paved roads but the phone is held secure. I can see my map clearly despite the shaking which should really be the only reason you use it anyways, and it holds up great even on a gravel road. One of the best purchases. I had a traditional one that went on the windshield and wherever I put it I could never see around it so definitely this works perfectly for me. Holds the phone up with no risk of it falling and I can see again. It also fits like a glove and you would think it was stock if you didn't no any better you can't tell the difference

This puts the phone in a readily accessible area without using up a cupholder or taping something to the dash. Easily installed with the screw that is on the dash already and NO drilling is required. Takes just a few min from start to finish. The phone holder in the pic was actually swapped out for a magnetic holder for the iPhone 14. The magnet was sold as a vent holder and fit the ball with this item. The one that comes with it was sturdy and works well but I just prefer a magnet mount. The fit is ok along the dash but mine had a rough area on the left side which may just be a manufacture defect. This is why I rated at 4 instead of 5 stars. Overall I would recommend this if looking for an unobtrusive phone holder for your JK. Best to ya!

I purchased this for my 2015 JK and it fit perfectly!! I’ve been looking for a phone mount and I couldn’t be happier with this purchase. Installation was so easy and it screwed right into place. As far as the phone mount, I have an iPhone 17 Pro with a leather case and card holder on the back and have no problem fitting it in this holder. Of course, my Wrangler isn’t the smoothest ride (are any?), so if I hit a bump, the phone mount bounced a bit but it always stayed in place and my phone stayed secured in place. I would definitely recommend!! (I used the additional phone mount extension piece also, although, it works great either way!

I don’t know why I waited this long! I’ve been replacing window-cling cell phone holders for years. Always a sticky mess when they melt off during the hot summer months. This mount holds my phone precisely where I want it. Max visibility! It’s super simple to install. You’ll need a 7mm socket to remove your OEM dash cubby bolt. I chose to use the OEM bolt instead of the included hardware (pictured). The kit includes all the hardware you need. Pictured: Original. Uninstalled mount: top and bottom with included 3M adhesive tape. Installed mount: showing original bolt & mat. Final look & visibly check!

Easy to put on the dash. I have a jeep wrangler . Won't hold my phone with the case on it. It with shake my phone like crazy and throw it from the holder when driving. As you can see in the video the road was smooth and it was all over the place. Hard to use GPS when it has so much movement

We used a rugged ridge brand phone holder for several years. Turns out it was vibrating and cutting into the dash. It wasn't my first choice, but a cover up using this holder worked well since my wife still really wanted a working phone holder. The arm still squeaks and vibrates on video calls, but the base is very sturdy if you use the included 3M tape and the OEM hold down screw. It looks close enough to stock that I'm happy considering I didn't pay much.

Overall I’m good with this product. I get some vibration driving on pavement like reported by others but nothing serious. My cellphone case is an Otterbox with pop socket. I had to remove the pop socket else the phone would crash to the floor on really rough roads. I don’t use the pop socket for much anyway. After removing the phone hasn’t fallen from the mount once. The only other complaint is that the supplied screw doesn’t fit without really twisting hard. I elected to just reuse the original hex head screw. I hope this lasts awhile but doesn’t seem to be super tough. Time will tell. Update: downgraded review to one star. Within the last 3 days the phone has crashed to the floor many times. It seems like something is starting to wear. The foam rubber “grips” on each side of the holder are probably to blame. I’m now outside the return window by 4 days. Perfect timing! At this point some homegrown engineering will be attempted. If no success this POS will go into the trash can.

Product looked okay but did not fit my jeep. If you have changed the audio system to android which comes with complete case then this wont fit.

I love the idea, keeps space to keep my junk. Fitment is decent. Over all I like it. I like where the phone sits, low enough to not be a visual issue but right in my field of vision if using maps. The issue, after several months, is that the clasp for holding the phone is too small and my phone flies out on bumpy roads or speed bump! I do have a larger phone...s23plus, but tge clasps need to be a little longer and tge distance from the clasps to the fixed bottom needs to be a little longer. Not great if you have a larger phone!
