A Great Tour of A Great Park
A great tour of New York's newest public park. This book tells the story of an abandoned train line with a rich and important role in New York's history and how, thanks to a group with much vision, it was turned into a park that is virtually a part of the neighboring cityscape. The book also gives a detailed account of which specific plants make up the gardens and explains how this park is totally different than any of the others in NY. The photos are a great mix of old and new, and if you have never visited the High Line, this is the next best thing !

Better than expected!
Turns out the book was even better than I expected. The copy I had originally checked out from my local library was the "original" version and what I received from my order is a revised and updated version.

Reliving the experience
A wonderfully presented book which relives every aspect of the background and construction of the Highline. Having walked its full length several times, this book just makes me want to keep on experiencing this amazing experience with its tremendous views around every corner and its unique ambience. I bought this book as a present, but may have to buy another copy just for myself!A must buy and read (over and over again)!

On the High Line Adventure
My husband and I visited High Line April 2013 where we celebrated our 65th birthdays, it is an amazing venture and the two guys who started the ball rolling are amazing to have followed their dream particularly when they did not even know each other in the beginning but soon did and the rest is history. To enjoy this book you have to visit the Highline to understand how it has evolved there account of all their adventures stresses is lovely and reading it took us both back to our mile and half walk in springtime in New York. We hope to go back 2015 when hopefully The Highline is completed we can't wait. Thank you Josh and Robert for completing your dream and everyone who financed it regards Gina and David Gregory Cardiff Wales

A Vibrant Landscape in the Sky!
It is a very good thing that this book has been reissued in an updated version to include new developments on The High Line. The preface by Rick Darke, a renowned plantsman, is excellent especially for those whose main interest is the use of plants. Excellent pictures throughout.
