Don't Install With Included Directions!
My husband and I decided we wanted to get a soundbar for our 55" LG TV so that we could understand dialog better (old ears doncha know....). We researched and came up with some we thought would work. Found a great deal on this one, which also had a good rating on Consumer Reports for one that didn't cost an arm and a leg. We ordered it. While waiting for it to arrive, I foolishly decided to more thoroughly read the reviews on here. Big mistake! I scared the heck out of myself, to the point that it took me 3 days once it arrived before I gathered all my nerve and decided to install it!Today was the day - and it was easy-peasy for me (although it did take some time because I was thoroughly reading and re-reading the directions). Let me start by saying this. DO NOT USE THE DIRECTIONS THAT ARE INCLUDED IN THE BOX!!!! They are crap to be impolite about it - totally useless. When I started looking online because others had also stated how useless the included directions are, one site I ended up at was the Samsung site. I got frustrated trying to use it because I had a very hard time trying to find the exact model for the soundbar. I would choose HW-60B and they would show me manuals for 600B. I think that it wasn't until I registered the soundbar that I was taken to the correct product page with all the correct information. The online manual is perfect! Every step well laid out. Pictures supporting the directions. I think if I hadn't found the manual, this would have been an entirely different review! It's very much worth your time and trouble to go online and get the full-blown manual! The install went fairly easily. No problems with it automatically connecting to the LG TV. Working with the Fire Stick 4K Max with no hitches. Turns on and off with the TV...... no having to switch inputs for the way we use it. The sound is SO much better than with the TV speakers! It's perfect for our needs. As time goes by, we will probably play around with the settings some more, but so far we're very happy with the purchase. The install ease would have gotten 5 stars if not for the fact that the included directions were awful and I had to search a LOT to find the online manual which is excellent.

Bang for your buck
I had a Sonos sound bar that I loved. Unfortunately, my toddler knocked it down and the optical input broke and will no longer connect to my tv. I didn’t want to spend another thousand dollars on a sound bar so I purchased a cheaper option from target. A Lg sound bar and sub and was extremely disappointed with the sound quality. I appreciated my Sonos sound bar so much more after that purchase. Needless to say, I returned it and started my research on another option. I found the Samsung sound bar and did some homework before dishing out anymore money. After being pleased with the YouTube reviews I purchased it and I’m not disappointed. The sound quality is great. You couldn’t get more bang for your buck than this system. Sub sounds great. The voice enhancement setting is great. Clear crisp sound. You won’t be disappointed.

Samsung Q600B
I bought this soundbar before I had read a lot of negative reviews on it. It's been working very well for the first week and I'm keeping my fingers crossed.Sound Quality: it's very good. Detailed highs and excellent midrange, bass is boomy and a little overpowering but easy to adjust with tone control.Build Quality: very well made and feels solid. My only gripe is that sometimes powering soundbar and tv on, the soundbar switches from hdmi to DIN. I don't know what is causing this, it doesn't happen all the time but is annoying. My research found that a lot of problems people are having are resolved with a firmware update. I haven't updated mine yet but may soon.

First Soundbar - Very Pleased!
I purchased this soundbar to go with a new Samsung QLED TV. Never having bought one before, the array of choices is bewildering. I decided to take a chance and got this one on sale figuring I could return it if it was a bad choice. It comes with power cords for both the bar and subwoofer. It also comes with an HDMI cable which is what I used to hook up to the TV (HDMI/ARC port). At first I thought the instructions seemed sparse. I searched for a YouTube video about setting it up and it confirmed that the HDMI cable is the simplest/quickest. The TV recognized it right away and sound started to immediately come from the soundbar as opposed to the TV speakers. The subwoofer connected via Bluetooth as soon as I turned it on, so I didn't even need to go thru the "push this button and hold for a certain light to flash or change color". In other words, its little blue light on the back remained steady right away. I am not going to add rear satellite speakers because of the way our room is set up. I put the subwoofer behind where we sit. We are currently watching the Crown, so I can compare the TV speakers to the soundbar experience for that. The depth, clarity, and dimensions of the audio is a huge difference. Charles knocking on a door from one angle sounded completely different from when the camera cuts to behind the door during the same knock scene. The subwoofer adds oompf to cars doors slamming, etc. The soundbar seems to automatically detect what audio technology was used for the program you are watching. When switching to another program on Netflix, the word Atmos illuminated for a moment on the right front of the soundbar for example. As an experiment I played just a standard DVD of Interstellar (in a Phillips Blu-ray player). This is where the subwoofer literally came alive. It felt like we were in the space ships with the characters, the floor and walls rumbling beneath our feet and all around. Truly amazing. The music soundtrack for this film is also incredible with this system. (That being said, regarding just playing music from a device or music video: it will not sound like a full audiophile stereo system. So, don't get it expecting to replace or stand in for an audio-only system. It is not designed for that.) Final verdict - this Samsung unit is a keeper and I am very pleased!
