Arrived in good condition, gives you peace of mind, we have put a mat on top but does offer cover from sparks that may come from fire, so far so good, fair price, looks good.

I actually got this to use on my outdoor wooden table where I often use my pizza oven and my portable BBQ. While I'm sure it would be fine I can't help but always get nervous using them on that table, especially the portable BBQ when I'm pouring charcoal into it from my chimney starter with little embers and hot charcoal falling everywhere. This fireproof mat is a great size for my table and now I can use my pizza oven and BBQ on it with much more confidence. It's surprisingly thin but you can really feel the quality of it and can tell it has multiple layers inside. It feels very rigid compared to a normal mat. It has definitely been created with functionality in mind over appearance, in fact the listing even surprisingly recommends looking at other options if you are looking for design over function. It has really helped to put me at ease when cooking outside on my table. Very pleased with it.

Use this in front of my open wood fireplace to protect the hardwood floor in lieu of tile surround. Love that I can roll it up and put it away when not having a fire.Haven’t tried lighting it on fire but seems fire resistant.

It's the size I ordered and lays flat. It does try to move on carpet nap.
