Hama 2051 4,000 Beads & 3 Pegboards in Pink Tub, Multicolour

Bought for G/dtr who requested them as Birthday Present after playing with them at After School Club! Very happy little lady!

Bought these for my 5 year old son as an activity to do during lockdown. He's been hooked since they arrived! These are the midi (medium standard size), incase you need to order more, as you can't mix and match the different sizes. This set comes with 4000 beads and 3 peg boards. It's kept the whole family entertained, and we've easily made 25 designs and there's still about 1000 beads left. Good mixture of colours for boys and girls. I have ordered more to top up what we currently have left.

This is a great little tub of Hama Beads, which also contains two sheets of the paper you need to iron over your creations and three pegboards - a flower, a heart and a hexagon. You get over 4,000 hama beads, in a good range of colours. Once you have made your design, you can iron over them and gently remove them from the pegboards, which you can then re-use.You can get extra beads and pegboards, but this is an excellent starter kit. The top of the jar screws on, so the beads are all kept safely and these occupied my daughter for ages. A good set and good value for money.

Hama Beads are really fun. The idea is that you create a design on one of the base shapes by placing the little beads in each space and when the child is happy with their design, an adult irons over it to warm the plastic beads and fuse them together. The whole can then be lifted from the base (the base ready to be used again) and kept as a decorative piece. We hang some of our son's creations on the wall in his bedroom.Don't drop these! On Christmas Day last year my son dropped a box of Hama beads on the floor and we spent *hours* picking each teeny tiny bead out of the carpet.For more creative end results, perhaps get a Hama set that isn't in a tub. Two reasons for this: firstly, in a larger set the colours tend to be separated so you can easily find the one you're looking for - which is not a small consideration when you take account of the tininess of the pieces; and secondly, the base shapes are larger in larger sets so the child can create on a bigger scale or with a more free shape.

My kids love this! The beads keep my kids entertained for hours, my 4 year old can follow the patterns really well, whereas my 3 year old just makes up his own. Great for creativity, fine motor skills and concentration. A lovely calm game which kids them focused for ages. Mummy also enjoyes making up patterns :o). This is particularly a nice little set, plenty of beads, 3 good sized boards and ironing paper included ( baking paper works just as good).

My 7 year old and 4 year old love these things, they can sit for hours making designs, its teaches them patience and how to have a delicate hand and fine eye for detail. It also keep them quite for large periods of time and as parent that's priceless ;-)The tub is a good size and comes with all the items need to get going they will making designs in no time, making it very good value, please be aware your home will have coasters of bears (see pic) and assorts of animal and shapes very very soon.
