The filters fit fine in the device, the problem is opening the filter housing itself, which is a bit of a journey into creativity and will challenge your household object tool using skills to the maximum. Think butter knife, cheese grater and an electric kettle.

I bought a pack of three filters for my Ebac 2400e Dehumidifier. The old filter was 4mm - 5mm thick but the new filters are 18mm thick. This means that the filter holder will not close unless firm pressure is applied to it. However, it will not stay closed, so I will have to use some strong tape to keep it closed. Having searched online it would appear that the original, much thinner filters are no longer available. The new 18mm filters are obviously too thick and the manufacturers need to look into this problem.

These are much bigger than the one I threw away. They do fit into the unit with a bit of encouragement an, hopefully, will work better than the old one
