These mattresses come vacuum sealed and are quite heavy. If you are very careful when cutting away the plastic vacuum seal, then the mattresses will rise to full size with no issue. Tip on how to cut away with out cutting mattress. First unroll the outer layer of plastic (no cutting needed. Then turn over and just cut the tape that is on the back of the plastic. Try not to cut plastics, but just the tape. Then pull plastic away from mattress and slowly cut the plastic. The mattress will immediately begin growing, but don't panic and start cutting faster. But keep pulling plastic away from mattress and cutting slowly down one side.After I let the mattress air out for 24 hours, it was ready to sleep on. The mattress is firm, but it has a pillow type top that feels soft and comfortable. The firmness helps my body not sink into mattress, so I didn't heat up in the middle of the night. I kept cool all night. We have a split king, so the firmness also made the crease between our 2 Twin XL less noticeable.I highly recommend this mattress. When I first got this mattress I found it way too firm and noticed off-gassing for about a week. Later I decided to jump on the mattress for 5 minutes or so to soften it up. Now, over a month later, I am enjoying sleeping on it and there is absolutely no off-gassing detected. So all in all, a good value.

I really wanted to like this mattress but after 4 months it became lumpy. Sending it back .

This one's not on the firmer side at all so if you need firm, I'd skip this one. This one works great for me sleeping on my side and my back but I had to switch pillows to fit comfortably on it. I think it's because I slightly sink into this so I don't need as thick of a pillow.SO it's very comfortable to sleep on. I have a shattered knee and have been told to take it easy so I've been spending a little more time in bed lately. I put back pillows up and watch tv from bed and I can say this will hold memory for a little bit from where I've sat. To combat it, I have a huge flat pillow wedge I sit on so hopefully I don't wear the mattress out from using this several hours a day on top of sleeping... I can say the bed bounces back and the memory it has held on spots I'm sitting- it seems to be fluffed back up by bed time.Overall it's a comfortable bed and works for this large 250 pound man. I will update later for any long term problems but as of now it's working out well and I'm happy enough with it. My last memory foam bed was keeping memory way too much so I got this one and love it a lot more.

I got this for my teenage son and he now has the nicest matress in the house. After reading some concerning reviews, I wasn't sure what to expect, but I am very pleased with this mattress!I am thankful for previous reviews as it really helped with a successful unpackaging. First, apparently the country of manufacturing has mattered and mine came from Turkey (no previous comments about quality from Turkey). I placed the vacuum sealed mattress onto bed frame, and opened the plastic with my hands...no sharp objects just in case. As soon as I put a puncture in plastic, the matress began to inflate. It inflated very full almost immediately.I did not wait to place his gel matress pad and bedding back on the bes as everything seemed to be filled up fine. My son came home from school to find me and his dad hanging out on the new bed lolIt feels really nice! Super firm and full and supportive, but also soft and inviting...hard to explain! I do not detect and lumps or sagging or sliding spots. Everything seems as it should be and I am breathing a sigh of relief!I think these matresses when manufactured, stored and shipped properly are an excellent choice! Hopefully all the manufacturers can get on the same page for quality! But from my experience the ones from Turkey are good!
