This bulk bale of hay is an all natural pet bedding as well as an essential source of food. Norfolk Pastures use only the best varieties of grasses to produce this hay, they consist of rye, timothy, cocksfoot and various meadow grass, which are harvested in mid summer when they are lush, green and near to seeding, it is then naturally dried in the sun after cutting, this helps to retain as much nutrients as possible. It is then stored in dry barns until it is time to be packed. Norfolk Pastures use a three phase extraction process to extract all dust and fungal spores. This can help to prevent the following health problems with your pets: - skin problems - digestive disorders - eye infections - respiratory complaints Sizes: Economy bales are ideal for people with 1-2 small animals, (approx weight - 2+ kg) Bulk bales are for people with 2 or more small animals,(approx weight - 5+kg) This hay is bought and recommended by many rabbit/ guinea pig rescue centres due to its quality

Good quality fresh hay - not 2nd bag which was awful
So pleased with the quality of this hay. It is fresh smelling, soft and mostly still green. A bit dusty but I have yet to know any make that isnt totally dust free. It isnt long stranded but I dont mind that for my guineas, it does equally well for their food and for bedding.Hope the quality stays to the bottom of the big bag. Size of bag is the only issue for me to carry it around but worth it for the quality. Will buy again to see if it is consistently good.Edit - 2nd bag bought was rubbish! Brown, dry and really hard stubble, no good for guineas, they would be at risk of poking their eyes , oh and really dusty. It went for garden compost.Edit - have since had a partial refund from Supplier so have upped the rating to reflect the good customer service. I will try them once more and hope for good fresh green soft hay.Edit - bought a 3rd bag, and despite asking for soft green hay, this bag is no better. Hay is like straw in colour, not green at all and guineas wont eat it. Sorry but I wont be buying again.

The best ever.
Tried so many different bales of hay that stated dust free but they never were. Then I bought Norfolk Pastures dust free hay. I was not disappointed. My rabbits would never eat hay before (very fussy) but as soon as I put this one in their hutch they tucked into it straight away. It really looks and smells fresh and is certainly dust free. I would highly recommend this hay to anyone.

Disgraceful. Dust extracted??!
Seriously, did they extract the dust, then put it all IN the bag?! Been buying this for a year, but only a few bags had decent hay. This bag is awful, full of dust and very short hay. I don't usually react to hay, but this may my sinuses ache and feel dust in back of my throat mNot fit for guinea pigs, especially not in our house.

Quality of hay not consistent.
The first time I bought this both my rabbits loved it and ate it so quickly, so I was very happy with the price and quality of the hay, as lately it's been hard to find. I ordered another one straight away, however this time the rabbits just sniffed at it and hasn't eaten it at all! Now I have a large batch of hay wasted and had to buy a different brand!

Chopped and dusty
Definitely not long and dust free. Hay was too short to work in hay racks for rabbits and most just falls out. Quite dusty as well.

Actually is dust free
This is the first (I have bought quite a few different brands and been disappointed) online hay I have purchased that fits the bill and is as described ie yes it is dust free. It is also greener (not brown) and long (so it fluffs up nicely). Excellent.

Best Hay Ever
Well what can I say, I am so pleased with this purchase. This is my second purchase of this Hay. My Guinea Pigs love it (infact they eat it too quickly). Really good quality and I can’t believe how quick the delivery is (so fast). Thank you so much will certainly continue to buy this Hay. First class service.

Hay, this baled me out (I'll get my coat)
I procured this gigantic cube of dried grass after getting fed up of Pets at Home charging the same price for half the size (or thereabouts). Our two rabbits showed their appreciation of my savvy purchasing by mindlessly grazing for 20 minutes then carpeting the whole of their cage in the stuff. Needless to say, they were indeed satisfied by this affordable and quality product.
