It shows how do Inlay Stylesand explains different Fabric Weaves and how to Prevent Looping or Raveling.Beautiful edges shown are: Lettuce-leaf, Picot, and Shell.I figured out the reason a Ballerina poses in the photos - is to illustrate how well stretch knit garments can move when properly sewn.Not "SCARED" to cut and sew knit and stretch fabrics any longer. Yaaaa :)

Although models are ridiculously posed in ballet attire having nothing to do with their clothing, the content of working and sewing with knits is excellent and the shoes can be overlooked.For so long this book has been insanely priced everywhere...I refused to "feed the greed" and an amicable sale was made.

I have always been so afraid so sew on knits - who knows why - I can and do sew anything with wovens from easy beginners to couture. After reading this book - I made a t shirt for myself and everyone thinks that I bought another INC Shirt. TAH DAH!

Very detailed advice on sewing with knits

This book has some interesting techniques for working with raschel lace-type knits. Honestly, I haven't tried many of the things the author writes about. Yet this was not the beginner book about sewing with or fitting knits that I was looking for.

The detail and the breadth of topics is amazing. Definitely great for anyone sewing with any type of knit fabric. The instructions are better than anything I have found elsewhere and I wish I’d had it from the start. The only downside is it is not up to date with coverstitch techniques.

The book has been published a while and some of the pictures look a bit dated, but it contains a wealth of information and tips about sewing knits, how to finish them and the best notions to use for each different type of fabric. A little gem worthy of a place in my sewing library.
