An Effective Solution for Troublesome Hardware
I wanted to use some old fight sticks with my Xbox Series X and this has worked great. It gets my upvote. The first thing I tried is a Mad Catz Tournament Edition for PlayStation 3. This stick is notorious for not working with most modern systems due to its use of the USB UHCI spec. It's super obscure but I guess it seemed like a reasonable choice fifteen years ago. It's not supported by every USB host controller as countless forum posts will tell you. It works fine with the Mayflash MAGIC-X. (And the Magic-S as well. I haven't tested every Mayflash product but they seem to use a common code base for firmware so it should work everywhere.) I then tried a Razer Atrox for Xbox One. That stick is notorious for using an unusual button mapping for the left and right triggers. The MAGIC-X did not handle this correctly. But, to the company's credit, the support engineers truly went above and beyond in dealing with this issue. They acknowledged the issue, acquired an Atrox locally, reproduced the issue and are working on a firmware update. That's the best I could ask for. The last controller I tried was a GuliKit King Kong 2 Pro over Bluetooth. That worked fine with both an Xbox Series X and a MiSTer FPGA. Latency is fine. It doesn't hurt me when playing Super Mario World or any fighters. I've not done a careful latency study. All in all I'd say this is a great solution for the serious home gamer. Someone looking to use it in a tournament would be well served to give it a shot and report any issues to Mayflash directly.

workswith Swich controller (unlike the Brook Wingman XB)
The Magic-S Pro 2 has been out for a while, and is one of the most versatile and best adapters (with regard to latency) on the market. It works with PS3, PS4, PS5, Nintendo Switch, PC and Android. The controllers supported are Dual Shock 3,4, Dual Sense, Xbox One, Xbox Series, Xbox 360 (wired or wireless with wireless adapter) Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Wii U pro, Wiimote, and select wired usb controllers for pc. But the Magic S Pro never supported Xbox consoles….until now. I’m happy to say this adapter is just as good as the Pro 2, but you will still need to have separate adapters if you wish to use one on your PS4 or PS5, and on Xbox. The Magic X supports the Switch, PC and Android like the Magic S , as well as the OG Xbox (with a usb adapter) but only supports the PlayStation 3….not the PS4 or PS5. It would e been great to have an all in one that can do everything, but I’m happy they finally decided to support the Xbox. Now, getting back to my headline with regards to switch pro controller support. As you may know, Brook has a similar adapter called the Wingman XB (and XB2) that supports the same consoles and pc, and it’s a great adapter with no noticeable latency…….EXCEPT for one. The Switch Pro controller doesn’t work correctly on any of the Brook adapters. The latency is horrible. Like really, REALLY bad. It’s something I haven’t seen mentioned in any of the written Amazon reviews because most people probably don’t use the switch pro controller on other platforms. Well, I have and it’s bad. Even after Brook put out some firmware updates to supposedly fix it. It didn’t do anything and the latency is atrocious. The Mayfkash doesn’t have this problem and they’re is no noticeable latency using the Switch Pro controller with the Magic X. So, it boils down to one controller in the battle between the Brook Wingman XB and magic X, with the magic X taking the crown by a very slight edge.

Works with 2.4ghz wireless controllers that have a dongle!
I bought this in hopes of using a new 2.4ghz PC controller on my Xbox, and it works flawlessly! Just plugged the 2.4ghz dongle into the Magic X and plugged the Magic X into my Xbox. Almost the same latency as 2.4ghz too, amazing! Plus you can connect your bluetooth headphones at the same time if you just want to listen to music or something. The only problem I have is the latency over bluetooth, it’s really bad. Controller and audio are both delayed by about a half a second which can mean a lot in certain games. But I would highly recommend if you plan on using a 2.4ghz dongle or a straight up wired controller with it, almost zero latency with those two methods I’d like to add that ANYONE saying this doesn’t just didn’t have the brains to get it to work. Not very hard- hold the button as you plug it into a computer, it should have no light on when you do this. Then run their update executable and press Update. Done.

Works on the Xbox Series so far
I have a Qanba Q4 since the Xbox 360 that still works (Sanwa parts are just that good!). I've been using Brook Adapters for a while now so that I can keep using the same fightstick. Recently I got a Series S, so I bought the Wingman XB. Everything was working fine on Series S with any number of fighting games including Street Fighter 6. Unfortunately, Microsoft deemed the Wingman XB as unauthorized and I only have until December 10th before it stops working. I reached out to Brook directly. Their response? "Thanks for your support The Wingman XB converter will no longer be supported on Xbox console We are looking into the issue and make a new converter in the future. Stay tune on Brook’s website/ FB for all the latest news, thanks." I don't know what to say to that. Brook completely abandoned loyal customers. I read that the Mayflash Magic-X adapters would still work on Xbox Series, so I ordered it to try out. So far everything seems to be working. I'll provide an update should it stop working in the future.

Use your preferred controller for your console!
I once had an Xbox Elite 2 controller. Like nearly every other Elite controller, it developed stick drift after about a year. I swore never to waste money on another one until MS put better tech in them, like Hall Effect sensors, to avoid stick drift. Not long ago, GameSir released the Super Nova controller that was everything I wanted the Xbox Elite to be. Swappable faceplate, assignable rear buttons, hall effect triggers and sticks, textured grip, charging dock, etc., and long-story-short, I loved it. The only bummer was that it wasn't compatible with the Xbox Series X. ...or WAS it? Enter the Mayflash Magic X. I decided to roll the dice on this piece of tech in 2025, and I can happily report that it's well worth the price. I plugged the dongle for the Super Nova into the Mayflash Magic-X, then the Magic-X was plugged onto the Xbox. The LED flashed a few times, turned blue (the Xbox pairing color) and that was it. I was connected. Every button and control mapped perfectly! Rumble supported! And with the 2.4GHz dongle the responsiveness is BETTER than the Elite Series 2. And here's the kicker: The price of the GameSir Super Nova plus the Mayflash Magic-X is LESS than an Elite Series 2. It's an objectively better controller than the Elite and you're paying less! I have no reason to doubt the Magic-X will work with your favorite controller, too, whether it be the Sony DS4, the Switch Pro controller, or any 8BitDo controller. This is the solution. For the record I didn't need to do any updating or trick the console with a first party controller. It literally was plug-n-play. I'm told that competitor products require this sort of thing, but the Mayflash really is an out-of-the-box easy solution. Also, just a side note: I don't use turbo or anything. Nor do I generally play online, so I can't comment on that experience. I'm exceptionally pleased. Five stars!

Need a windows machine and usbc dongle is cheap
The adapter it came with usb c to usb is broken and this product wont work unless you update firmware. And the firmware update tool needs a wondows machine. Basically this item is a hassle and a waste of time

Xbox series x-Vader 4 Pro
So, I haven’t used it long yet but I had to update it to 1.39 it came to me on software 1.30 and would not let my flydigi Vader 4 Pro connect. It was so confusing but all I did was update it, plug in the dongle that came with the controller, put the controller in dongle mode and hold the o button and x at the same time to put it in wired mode (even though it’s wireless) and it connected immediately without any latency at all. Now I can game with pc controllers or ps5 controllers on my xbox series x. All button are functioning without issue.

Works for the most part
I have a brook adapter that I used on the Xbox. It was flagged as an unauthorized device and was going to stop working. I bought this as a replacement and it works well. While playing quake 2 I had a few disconnection issues but there was no pattern to it like every 1hr or something. It’s a very good replacement but unsure how rock solid it is. ** UPDATE ** I've started playing Diablo IV with the adapter and a 8bitdo controller and have had no disconnect issues. This adapter has been fantastic. I'd recommend it to anyone looking to use a 3rd party controller.
