I bought this arm because I didn't feel like selling a kidney to afford a premium mount. That's not to say this isn't a premium mount - it is, but it's cheaper than the rest. It's got the looks, it can move and pivot freely with no issues, and I like how it easily fits the Shure SM7B out of the box with no trouble.However, there are some caveats. I wanted to install this arm on one of the grommet holes on my desk, but the turning handle wouldn't tighten all the way without getting stuck 3/4 of the way up the threading. It just wouldn't turn. I had to take a physical pair of pliers and utilize all my upper body strength to get the handle to twist to full tightness. It BARELY made it enough to hold the stand securely in the grommet hole. The arm itself is also a tad wobbly when it's put onto the base mechanism, so you may feel some to and fro, but this really doesn't create any problems when your mic has been put into the desired position.It has the looks, it works great, but something was definitely wrong with my screw threading, and now the handle looks like the dog got a hold of it and went to town.

Reviews for this product were accurate. It's well-built and easy to setup.Mounting point for the mic could be better, but is by no means bad. Arm swivels nicely on the base and articulates easily.Overall, you get exactly what you pay for - a purpose made microphone arm.

This product was delivered in good packaging with no damages. It was not hard to set up the C-Clamp on my desk and there was no issues of bending or breaking as the clamp itself is a sturdy metal. The only installation issue I had with the product was the ball joint at the end felt like it didn't fit over the nub quite as well as it should.I have a Heil PR40 with shockmount which does not have any issues of weight with this arm. The cord hub is a decent size and length with no XLR visible except for at the mic and at the elbow of the arm. Only complaint is I with the lower angle of the arm was a tad more flexible.

I had this unboxed and my mic mounted in less than 5 minutes. Range of motion is great and it looks good in my setup

Overall the quality to price ratio is pretty good. Not as high quality build or materials as the Rode PSA1+ or the Elgato Wave arms that I have, however unlike those arms, this one I found to be perfect for modified use. The base of the desk clamp mount can be removed (the clamp part) and what you're left with is a mount that is flat on the bottom with a threaded hole in the center. This made it perfect for attaching to a rolling stand with a light stand stud, and the attachment point is centered over the stand which is important to help it not tip over. Now I have a rolling mic boom arm that is way more flexible than standard floor boom stands and I attached my MixPre 6 with a clamp arm for a totally mobile recording rig. I can position the stand anywhere needed and record my audio right on the same stand without running power or XLR cables all over the room. For this purpose, the boom arm was perfect!
