ECOVACS ROBOTICS WINBOT 950 - Window cleaning robot with SMART DRIVE system

Oh wow! After watching countless product reviews for a window bot, I settled on this one. I realised just how many different types of glass I had in the house. Eg. Velux, frosted, large frameless, small framed. It would seem that the various winbot are for specific glass. The 950 claims to clean all types.So, I opened it up, read the manual, and set it to work on my large front window. Yep, it's spotless. Then an awkward large mirror that tricks you into thinking it's clean until you put the cleaning stuff away and you see smears all over it. I can't believe how clean it is. The cloth looks clean after using so it must be the finish of the winbot that has more elbow grease than I have.I wavered for such a long time as it's so expensive but have justified it by my usual window man who charges me a fiver for the outsides every two weeks. He sometimes comes at a very inconvenient time or when it's raining. The worst times are if my very disabled husband is trying to nap and then our Labrador goes loopy barking. Then times I wasn't sure he had actually cleaned some windows he was being paid for. Now I can do the windows when it is convenient for me.So far, so very good 😅

This is BAD!!! didn’t work at ALL! was sent a faulty item, called the support team who told me to charge the backup battery?? no mention of charging backup battery in the instruction manual neither on the numerous videos I watched , thinking I have done something wrong? but after charging it for over 10hours, still nothing. obviously not a brand you can trust if they haven’t had a control check on items before selling them. Bad, BAD BAD!!

Bought this, doesn't do a bad job but does leave streaks and struggles on large windows. Returned it because we couldn't get the cleaning solution other than small 200ml bottles. Can' t seem to source the half gallon supplies in the UK so too expensive to run.

Not bad a cleaning the windows (as long as you don't put too much liquid on the cloth, but it doesn't do corners, the cloth stops short as there are sensors there, so not really much point....

Ideal pour les grandes baies vitrées et celles qui sont inaccessibles. les premiers passages ne sont pas super super bien mais tellement moins fatiguant, puis avec l'entretien régulier les traces disparaissent dommage qu'on ne puisse trouver le produit d'origine, le produit karcher fonctionne bien, pas cher pour le service renduacheté en 2018 je m'en sers toujours avec un bon produit pour vitres il a quelques soucis de temps en temps mais je pense que ça vient de la batterie de secours, mes vitres sont habituées et je n'ai plus de traces, je fais la réclame et la démonstration!!!!Déjà 4ans et avec mes 73 ans je l’apprécie toujours autant. Je m’en sert pas tous les jours et parfois à la remise en marche on est pas d’accord car il est têtu mais moi aussi : il aime pas être branché sur une prise qui n’est pas directe (murale) et il se met très souvent en rouge. Nous avons aussi résolu le produit une bonne fois pour toute : c’est du vinaigre et rien d’autre. Je m’assoie et je surveille son travail qui peut prendre du temps (a l’époque je l’aurais mis au placard et j’aurais fait le boulot vite fait bien fait) mais maintenant je suis patiente je lui accorde tout mon temps pour que ce soit bien fait. Je l’aide un peu dans les coins. Bref avec deux portes vitrées 5 baies et toute une véranda au premier étage je ne peux pas me passer de lui et encore moins de la télécommande….. ou je déménage.

Avevo già visto una dimostrazione in fiera ed ho subito pensato che sarebbe stato il robot ideale per me. Ho grandi vetrate che devono essere sempre pulite ; posizionando il winbot su una vetrata, fa tutto lui ed il risultato è perfetto ! non c'è assolutamente bisogno di spolverare prima il vetro ; al limite si cambia il pattino di pulizia (siccome ce ne stanno 3 forniti, non è un problema). In 1 ora di tempo, ho pulito 13 vetrate, senza fatica.... geniale !

Es un aparato bastante cómodo para limpiar los cristales, especialmente aquellos cuya limpieza puede suponer un riesgo de accidente como cristaleras o ventanas grandes por la parte exterior, siendo éstas últimas corredizas. Hay que mojar bastante el paño que lleva el aparato. De hecho una vez humedecido el paño echaba limpia cristales a la superficie, porque si no no limpia bien, aunque sin pasarnos porque se está excesivamente húmedo el aparato resbala. En todo caso la experiencia te va indicando.Lo que no me gusta es que es un poco lento, es decir, no se gana tiempo limpiando los cristales, pero merece la pena porque todo lo hace el aparato y lo más importante, no se corre ningún riesgo innecesario de accidente o de caerte al vacío por intentar llegar a algún rincón estirando el brazo.Creo que es una buena inversión y estoy encantado teniéndolo en casa para ayudar en casa en la limpieza de los cristales.

nach 4 Tagen Dauereinsatz mit sehr viel Frust, möchte ich euch ein paar Erfahrungen mitteilenDas ganze Zubehör Geplänkel spar ich mir mal.1. Reinigung, alles geputzt, er nimmt sehr viel Dreck auf und im abendlicht sah alles Super aus. Nächsten Tag dann der große schreck. Die Sonne kam raus und die Fenster sahen schlimmer aus als vorher. Meine Frau wollte mich am liebsten begraben.....2. Tag alles nochmal auf Anfang. Ergebnis : immer noch katastrophal.3. ein Mann will das sein Spielzeug funktioniert, ich wollte ihn schon zurück schicken........ Aber einen Versuch musste es noch geben...Meine Frau lachte, die Fenster waren ja eh schon ruiniert ........4. Tag Alles blinkt und glänzt. Was war anders.....nun die Tips zum Glanz:1.Tuch oft genug wechseln !!! diese Parr cm2 Tuch können nun nicht wirklich viel Dreck aufnehmen !!! Wenn man das erstmal begriffen hat, leuchtet es ein und ist auch nur logisch !2. Das Tuch nicht wie in der Anleitung beschrieben mit Spüli auswaschen, sondern unter heiß Wasser oder in der Waschmaschine auf Spülen, ohne Waschmittel. Denn Seifenreste im Lappen sind auch blöd !!!!3. Soviel Reiniger auftragen (auf das Tuch) so das sich der Winbot noch vernünftig bewegen kann, wenn er mal ein wenig Rutscht ist nicht schlimm, das legt sich wieder wenn er die Scheibe das 2. mal reinigt....4. Bei Tageslicht putzen, dann sieht man schnell wenn das Tuch gewechselt werden muss.5. Reiniger: Wie meinen Vorrednern schließe ich mich bei dem Frosch Spiritus Reiniger an, Zitronen Reiniger verdrecken nur das Transportband !!!6. Wenn die Fenster arg verdreckt sind, spart ich das ihr das Tuch für das nächste Fenster nehmt, es sei denn, ihr wollt alle einmal vorreinigen.Probiert es aus, ich und meine Frau sind jetzt begeistert, keine Schlieren nichts....Ok hartnäckige Fliegen...... bekommt er nur bedingt weg, aber es ist ok. Selbst die Ränder werden einigermaßen, wenn ihr den Putztuch Rand auch einsprüht.Ich hoffe ich konnte euch ein wenig helfen. Basierend auf jetzt 12 Std. Dauerputzen in 4 Tagen kommen wir nun auf ein tolles Ergebnis.Lg Christian

Der Saugroboter macht alles außer sauber. Auf dem Glasdach funktioniert er nur mit Fernbedienung. Mit Fernbedienung ist es fast unmöglich gerade zu fahren. Zudem darf die Scheibe nicht zu naß sein, sonst rutscht er durch. Ist das Tuch nicht feucht genug putzt der Roboter sehr schnell nicht mehr.An senkrechten Flächen putzt er alles andere als streifenfrei. Ist ein Hindernis in der Scheibe, beispielsweise ein runder Knauf zum Öffnen der Glasschiebetür, kommt er nicht dran vorbei. Also abnehmen und neu ansetzten.Jeder komplett talentfreier Fensterputzer reinigt eine Scheibe schneller und sauberer.
