Please never discontinue!!! Only tint for us lighter skin, pale or Porcelain girls!!
Please Elta, so many of us will buy this forever because of the color, do not ever get rid of it! This is my holy grail of tinted sunscreen. I love elta, and have tried many tinted sunscreens because their original is too dark for me; and no other brand I have tried (atleast10) have ever been even close to as light as I need. This is perfect!!! Yes it comes out a weird texture but makes my skin look flawless with good coverage. The texture doesn’t affect how it goes on the skin or works. It’s better than any other tinted sunscreen I’ve tried. I’m always shocked at how much more even toned and amazing my skin looks after. It’s buildable so most times I don’t even feel the need to wear any makeup. This product has me shook! 11/10!! Have repurchased many many times.

Try other Elta products
I planned on using this as a highlight. But it came out of the tube in small, dry curds. I hoped that it might smooth out on my skin, but it would roll, crumble, and actually fell off my face.I tried a second tube, thinking maybe it was a bad batch, but the second tube has a similar texture.I so wanted to love this, and applaud elta trying to provide a lighter tint. Too bad it was a miss!

Really works, doesn't bother eyes!
Elta Md makes several shades and formulations, this shade being a little lighter in color and not at all warm/ tan colored so you their swatches are pretty accurate. I will say it doesn't leave a white cast and works well with BB tinted or foundation with or w/out primer. You need to be able to put sunscreen on your eyelids - Google mohs surgeries, or don't and just wear the sunscreen😅☀️ The price is good here, the exp dates are sometimes within months, but if you're using it daily one tube should not last you a year anyway. NOT the same as the sunscreen in the squirt bottles!
All the Elta MD sunscreens work well. But I was hoping this would be the same (or similar) to the sunblock in the pump squirt bottles. That sunscreen goes on much smoother and the tinted option is perfect for days that I don't want to wear makeup (most days). The UV Luminous is much thicker, does not spread as easily, and the color is (as the box says) rosy-too rosy for my skin tone. I will take it on vacation, but I will not buy it again. I'm going back to the pump bottle-just wish it was a bigger size.

Mealy, difficult to cover evenly, and is an odd shade of pink?
EltaMD makes fabulous products, but this one misses the mark for me, especially considering the price. It applies as a pasty pink that eventually fades a bit. But it never looks "human" on my skin. (Redhead, blue eyes, mature.). It has a mealy texture, like soft granules. It spurts out of the tube more than squeezes. I work it with my fingers before applying to smooth out all the little lumpy stuff. If there weren't better products for me, I'd consider using this. But I've found better products for 1/3 of the price.I'll still use the plain white EltaMD sunblock on occasion, but won't buy this one again.

Only for very pale people who don't wear makeup
I love other Elta MD products, but this one is a major miss for me. It's incredibly thick (a paste), and to get enough on your face (at least 1/4 tsp) to get the full SPF protection, you end up with a thick mask of product that heavily sits on top of your skin. It goes on very white, and trying to rub it in doesn't really work. You just have to do your best to apply it evenly and then wait about 20 minutes for it to dry back and turn pinkish. (So, this isn't for people who want to put on their sunscreen and leave the house -- you really have to give it at least 20+ minutes to dry.) After it completely dries, it loses the strong white cast, but will really only disappear on very pale skin with pink undertones. As the name of the product suggests, it remains a bit luminous, which is fine if that's what you're looking for. Since it's a paste, it will scrape off under your fingernails and it will pill if it's touched or rubbed at all. I extend my sunscreen down my neck and onto my decollete, and it pilled quite badly around my neck and jawline in particular where my collar touched my skin. I attempted to put some foundation and concealer over it after it dried back, but that was disastrous -- the sunscreen pilled/balled up and slid around and broke up resulting in a mottled mess. I had to wash everything off and start over. I tried again the next day with a different foundation, and I had the same result.Overall: this is just more of a pain that it's worth, especially given that Elta MD has such better options that are more cosmetically elegant. This formulation is very fussy, thick, and doesn't play well with make up. The only person I could see that might be able to use this is somebody who has very pale skin, doesn't wear make-up, doesn't pull the product down onto their neck, wants it to be luminous, and has time to wait for it to dry back. I'm giving it 2 stars instead of 1 star since there might be somebody that it works for.

Good quality and effective protection
This brand was recommended by my dermatologist. Nice light shade that applies with a natural look on your face. No skin reactions at all even doesn’t irritate my eyes. I’m very happy with the product and the protection from the sun.
