strong hold
these things have very strong magnets and hold pretty much whatever you throw on to it.

Absolute JUNK
The hardware they send to attach the magnets to the wall isn’t long enough to go through the hardware they send and into the wall too. After the screw goes through the hardware there is literally 1/8” of the screw left to attach to the wall, it’s a joke. They would have known this for sure if they would have tried just once to attach what they are selling to a wall, and if you can’t hang these what good are they? Amazon seems to be selling mostly Chinese junk, no quality control at all. They obviously don’t even look at the products they are hawking to their customers, it’s a crapshoot if you can use what you purchase or if it’s just junk.

Love these and they have so many applications
I love having these placed in different work areas to I can unpack my tool belt or kitchen knives and have then quickly and safely at hand when I need them. I'm a stickler for keeping my tools protected and properly stored when not in immediate use, so I don't tend to use these as long-term storage...though they would work just fine for such a use. But I can mount one or two of these bars near different work areas, or temp mount them on a job site so that I can quickly grab what I need and not feel like I'm wearing my entire tool box on my hips. Great on the side of your creeper or bigger tool box so the sizes and type you need can be kept at the ready. Love 'em.

These can hold
A plain white box offered a nice well packed surprise. The 5 magnetic strip were clinging to each other but separated by a strip of heavy cardboard to protect the black paint. Nice touch to keep them pristine. These are simple holders relying on magnetism to hang on to any iron based tool. I've see a few reviews which claim these do not hold anything. I temporarily clamped one of the magnetic strips to run a test on its holding power. Please reference the photo to see a 28oz sledge hammer being held. That strength will hold any screwdriver, crescent wrench, drill bit or any other like-sized tool you might want to hang. I have used similar bars in the past to hang on to my Japanese handsaws with much success. I tried one on for kicks and, as expected, no issues.Aside from the strong magnets, what I particularly liked, though most holders of this type allow for this, is that they can be strung together lengthwise by merely sharing the endcap with the next strip. Conveniently provided are screws and wall anchors with which to mount. These are 12" long, so unfortunately in 16-on-center wall, one of your screws is not going into a stud. But, if installing in concrete or a block wall, the wall anchors are necessary.I have used these to hang my inventory of Japanese handsaws and the work superbly (Photo). They could be used in a kitchen to hang on to knives and other metal utensils but I'd hesitate to put them up in a designer kitchen. Maybe imbedding them in a beautiful wood dado would hide the industrial look...on the other hand, maybe that's what you like? You get 5 of these for a little over $5 a piece, that's 5 feet of holding power. The price is very reasonable and based on my testing you can't do better for the price. No criticism to detract from a 5 star rating.

Stick Your Tools in Visible Places Instead of Misplacing Them!
I have lots of metal tools in lots of places in my basement – most of them safely hidden away. The “hidden” part though is unfortunate because I so often cannot find them when I need them. I’ve put up a pegboard for a lot of the larger tools, but what about the screwdrivers, wrenches, measuring tapes and such? When I saw this five magnetic strip set of tool organizers from the DGSL Store I knew I had my answer, so I ordered them. These 12-inch-long strips have strong magnets running along their lengths. Screw it into your wall and put a wrench or screwdriver near one and CLUNK, the magnet pulls it in and secures it right there until you need it again. This will work with any material that’s attracted to a magnet (not your light-weight aluminum ruler though). The magnet has a plastic strip covering it to protect the magnet (which holds up to 22 pounds). The only thing that I wish about these magnetic strips is that they would be 16 inches long. I’m using these down in the unfinished part of my basement that has studs 16 inches on center. Since these are only 12 inches long I can’t bridge the gap between two studs. I have to put up a strip of wood on the wall and then attach these strips to that. Oh, the trouble to take that extra step! I’ve managed to do it though <grin>.These are wonderful and spot on what I need. I expect they will be the same for you.

Decent Magnetic Tool and Bit Holder Bars
I've used several of these style magnetic bars all around the shop on the house! This brand in particular I consider decent, as it's pretty similar to what's available out there in this category. With that said, I have used better versions of these. I think it comes down the magnets and the quality and adherence of what they cover the magnet with. The longer the individual magnets within the bar, and the better quality cover up, the better the overall appearance (functionally not effected by either). With shorter sections of magnets, you can see the joints through the cover, which is essentially a long narrow sticker. These particular bars have short sections of magnet visible through the sticker, and a sticker that's threatening to peel up on each end. If over the long term they peel more, I'll just use some clear tape to hold it down. From a functional standpoint, these are awesome! Use them to hold bits and screwdrivers and adapters and such in the garage, or shop, or use them in the office to keep binder clips, paper clips, tacks and such right handy! They include durable plastic end caps to mount them in continuous rows, which probably helps keep the sticker on too, but they hold the bar out from the mounting surface almost the thickness of the bar again. For most of my applications, that effect is not desirable, so I consider these optional for mounting. In summary, although these may not be the most aesthetically pleasing, they are super functional, budget friendly, and they make a great gift too!
