great set, good value
I ordered this Hampton Forge knife set to use in our camper, mainly because each knife has its own protective sheath. I don't want knives banging around inside the drawers in the camper and causing damage as we go down the road. These are great! They are all a nice size, cute colors, the sheaths cover the entire blade and stay on tight. It's a complete set that has everything we could need for cooking while traveling. The cutting board is also excellent quality and has a rubber bumper all around, which also makes it perfect for the camper since it won't bang around and damage anything. Great set, no complaints! I feel like this is a fantastic value since you get so many great quality items from Hampton Forge, which is an affiliate of Lenox. Really good stuff!

Sharp, Colorful, and a Steal!
These knives almost look like they’re meant for children with their vibrant, multicolored appeal, but it’s actually quite the opposite.I use these in my own house and their sharpness out the box was unbeatable, and have held strong through many cuts and washes.

Four stars at least.
This is a very nice looking knife set. Brand new, out of the box, they all have super edges. The colors are nice I guess, and my wife likes their appearance. They have a nice weight, and the heft and feel in my hands are all really nice. The scissors are special, in that, they fit a man-sized hand. Almost all of the scissors in the house have thumb holes that are too small for me. This one, I can stick my thumb all the way in, past the knuckle if I want, although I can't imagine using scissors that way.Along the same line, all the knives have nice man-sized handles, with a nice guard for your index finger to butt up against. You can get a really good grip on all of them, and have little fear of your hand slipping. The covers are pretty. If I use the covers, they'll make the knives safer in the kitchen, but I'll probably never remember to use them. The bamboo cutting board is a nice extra.I am hesitant to give these knives 5 stars, until I've used them for awhile. As nice as they seem right now, the bargain price point scares me just a little. Similarly priced knives have come and gone over the years . . . I'll give these some time, and if I remain as impressed as I am right now, I can come back and give them another star. The box says they are dishwasher safe - I'm not sure if that's a really big plus. I wash my knives, wipe them dry, and put them away, to prevent them being put in the dishwasher. But, if you choose to put them in the dishwasher, they should be good. You'll probably want to remember to put the blade covers in there too!

they are ok
These are ok, don't plan on them lasting a long time though but for the $20 price tag you probably already know that. The handles feel cheap and light weight in my hands. The coating will not last but at least you will get your $20 use out of them before it peels off. I have used these a couple times and they don't match up to my nice expensive set I have. The cutting board is ok but I did notice some of the blue around it was chipped a little. This whole set is only hand wash with mild soap.

Nice a bit of color for the kitchen
I like these knives and its good to see that they have a sheath for each knife. They feel good in the hand with some weight to them. Yes they are sharp and the sizes are good for the average kitchen. I see that there is a hole at the pointy end of the sheath for each knife so wall hooks might work depending on your color scheme. I suspect they will last for a long time. The ratings for their other knives are good so i do not think you will be disappointed with these.

Great Heft, Don't Feel Cheap
These look good, and are super, SUPER sharp (be careful). They made deboning and butterflying a whole chicken very short work! The rubber trimmed cutting board stayed in place, along with the chef and pairing knives that I have used so far have performed phenomenally. I can't wait to use the others, if they even perform half as well as the two I've mentioned than this is well worth the purchase! I have the multi-colored set which really brightens up my kitchen too.Highly Recommend!!

Wonderfully sharp way to add color to your kitchen!
I am in love with the knife set. They’re nice and sharp right out of the box. They’re weighted well and feel balanced in my hand. I love that each knife comes with its own protective sheath. The colors are gorgeous, and I love that the blades are also the same colors as the handles and sheaths. The cutting board is just the size I like and beautifully made. I’m so glad I took a chance and got this set…I’m VERY pleased with it!

Sharp right out of the box
This is an adorable colorful knife and cutting board set, it looks exactly as pictured. The knives are very sharp and are ready to use right out of the box. Each one has individual safety sleeve. The sleeves do come off easily, but won't fall off in the drawer. I did the tomato cutting test on all of them and they cut soft-ish tomatoes with no effort. Raw beef with fatty and stringy pieces was also cut easily. The handles are lightweight and plastic, they do feel well set on the shaft and decently comfortable in the hand. The bamboo cutting board is smal, it's surface is smooth and no defects of manufacturing was noticed. The kitchen shears have thinner blades than my current shears, they feel lightweight in the hand. They did ok cutting raw fish tails and fins, but I had to apply a bit of effort to the process. They're sharp but because the blades are thin I don't know how long they'll last. I love that all the pieces are brightly colorful, they add a fun touch to my otherwise neutral toned kitchen. One thing that's regretful is that there's no storage block to keep these knives organized, as I don't keep knives in the drawers. I have some very expensive professional kitchen knives, and of course those are much better, and have much more comfortable handles and better blades, but this is a nice knife set for someone who doesn't want to shell out big bucks for Japanese cutting knives.
