Very effective - perfect bypass ...
This is my first analogue wah after many years of using digital controllers for digital wahs. The difference is night and day, there's SO much more control with the 'real' thing. This wah is very nicely made, I've got two and there are no construction anomalies on either. Good QA.The unit has the standard Jim Dunlop CryBaby size and design which is obviously tried and tested over many decades but it's then been modified to include side switches for the dual fasel inductors and the boost. The former give two very different wah sounds that behave differently in use. Both are great but my prefence is the yellow option (coloured leds indicate which is in use). The side switch are easy to use and durable, just tap it with the side of your foot. I don't use the boost control because I have a solo mode on my amp but it does work and can be preset for volume with a rotary control on the side of the wah. As always the device can be battery powered or mains powered via an adapter.NOTE: I had intended to mount my wah on a PedalTrain-2 but when I tried it I wasn't happy with the angle of the pedal and also the underside of the unit is difficult to velcro up because of the battery box and plastic film covering the nicely made bottom plate. Therefore my wah lives on the floor and my volume pedal took its place on the PT-2.

Oh yeah baby!
This is beautiful sounding pedal (not too raucous, not to subtle) and it's a solid object too. With two wah sounds (one classic bright sound and one warmer funkier sound) and variable gain boost, this is perfect for gigging. Man, this is a serious solid bit of kit! I haven't opened it up to play with the quality factor of the filters but one can if so inclined. Pedal it self isn't too loose, and isn't too firm, so responds to foot pressure nicely. Works well with battery (I hear it will last ages) or a quality power supply. Highly recommended.

Superb Wah Pedal
After many years of not using a wah pedal I chose this pedal for reasons of developed and modified design. Absolutely superb sounds and the true bye pass does not weaken your guitar's original sound. Well done Jim and Custom Electronics.

Excellent pedal
This is a highly flexible wah pedal that I used for gigs right away. A fantastic sound and well worth the money. It is like having several wah pedals in one package and the boost feature is great for solos. Check out the reviews on youtube.

Too heavy and not pedal board friendly.
It's too big and too heavy - 1.5kg to be precise. That's about the same weight as my pedaltrain 2. I can't be humping this around the buses and tube trains of London. It's also not pedal board friendly - where do you put the Velcro? The underside is recessed. The pedal is so heavy it would probably detach anyway. Access to the boost would be impossible - it's on the wrong side.If weight is not an issue for you and you use it separate from your pedal board then this is probably a good wah - I have seen many favourable reviews. I bought it because of the 2 voicings and the true bypass. It was my mistake that I didn't pay closer attention to the bulk. I just assumed that no competent designer of pedals would assume that it would be OK to build a pedal that weighs more than all my others put together. There are so many design issues with this pedal including its excessive size, weight and the fact it won't work on a pedal board, it just leads me to believe the manufacturer is pretty clueless about how the needs of a guitarist have evolved in the last 40 years.Sound-wise its fine - the two voices work well. Funky rhythms with one and mellow lead lines with the other. The other point to note is that this pedal does not match too well with many fuzz boxes. My Mooer fuzz box is not compatible with it. Apparently this is an issue of buffering (?).I'll probably take a look at Xotic Effects new wah which is smaller, lighter and has an adjustable Q. Apparently it is also designed to like fuzz boxes.

Fantastic Wah. Period.
They thought of all the problems associated with other wahs and went about solving them. The dual fasel is a fantastic idea and in conjunction with the internal trim pots you can really tailor it to your sound. They're not easily accessible but that's not an issue I don't know many people who micro adjust their settings per song. Wanna different taste? switch between fasels. The boost is a nice feature too however it was not a deal maker for me but it is useful and doesn't add very much noise at all.Red Fasel: Nice and creamy and very full sounding. Definitely my favourite. This is what you'd use when playing a bit of HendrixYellow Fasel: Very much the token Dunlop modern wah sound. Think GCB95-F or classic. Focused more towards the highs. The live version of No Quarter by Led Zep is my favourite song to play with this fasel. My biggest problem was that the Allen Key wrench wasn't supplied with my wah but that was solved when I emailed Dunlop for a replacement and the sent me one free of charge. The adjustable pedal was very important to me as I really don't like a sloppy pedal.I've owned the Dunlop Classic w/Fasel and a Bud-wah but I think my search for a wah has ended. Some of those extremely expensive boutiquey wahs may come close or even be a little better than this one however they most definitely won't beat the value of this wah. IMHO it is a wah that is underpriced, yes I can't believe I just said that, the build quality etc is just top notch. Highly recommended.
