Bear Feels Scared (The Bear Books)

I love all the books in the Bear series by Karma Wilson. Jane Chapman does the most darling illustrations and the rhymes are so cute. These books are all classic and definitely worth having around to read to yourself, your children, your grandchildren. This book teaches a sweet message of how we can feel scared but our friends can always help us out. So cute!! You will not be sorry if you purchase this book, as well as, you will fall in love with Bear and all his friends.

The story of what it feels like to be scared is beautifully supported by the illustrations and expressive faces of bear and his friends. A must for all children, especially ages 3-5. Should mention that there is a series of “Bear” books and each one is worthwhile.

I bought this book to add to my grandson's collection and wasn't disappointed. We love Bear and his friends.The story is about Bear being lost in a stormy wood and his friends going in search of him. It is a lovely story of friends being there for you and that being scared is sometimes okay. I would definitely recommend this book.

We love this whole collection! These books are well illustrated, cute, and fun to read. There is always a good moral or lesson involved with these stories and are exactly the thing you would want to read with your kid. I highly recommend any of this series!

If you aren't reading the "Bear" books, you're missing out! WE LOVE THESE! The characters are consistent throughout the books and the dialogue is well written. They are fun to read and to listen to.

We already loved the Bear books, and when my daughter started to be afraid of the dark, this book helped a ton. Bear is afraid when he gets stuck in a storm, but all his loved ones come to rescue/care for him. The book chants over and over “And the Bear feels scared,” but the last page says, “And the Bear feels safe.” We talked a lot about this page and what helped Bear (my 3yo) feel safe - his friends (her stuffed animals), his quilt, his night light, his warm and dry room, etc. She will talk now about what will help her feel safe.

My 4 yr old Granddaughter is scared at night thinking there is a Bear in her bedroom. I bought her this book and it has helped! She feels sorry for the Bear and realizes they are not scary!

I found this book while looking for more of the calico books. My youngest was obsessed with "uh-oh calico" which is by the same author. I ordered this for my newest baby and it was an instant favourite so I ordered more of the bear books.I prefer rhyming books when reading to babies/ toddlers and this for the bill. Couldn't love it more

Wonderful book about feelings and friendships, my children love it and so do I. The whole series is brilliant.

This book has lovely illustrations, is small,but enough, for little hands. The print is clear, and the pages not too busy. The whole series is written and lyrical rhyme, that has predictable endings. As a former Reading Specialist, and new Grandparent; I am sure that any child will enjoy and use them for a long time.
