Ernest Charles AE80009 Sparrow Nest Box

Bought 2 bird boxes with 3 nesting holes in each,Well made with slate roof,nice and sturdy,ready made just have to erect them .

Only a small chip on the roof when it arrived, was concerned it would be damaged after reading other reviews. Wood is quite thin but the box is lightweight and I don't think my wall would hold a heavier box under gale force winds we have. Purchased this box as the council are going to put up solid wall insulation on people's homes and thereby the sparrows will be evicted. I think its a good box for the price and fast delivery.

Good quality and well made, but difficult to align 3 screw holes in back to fix, brackets would have been much better. However still a good buy.

Roof on Sparrow Terrace was cracked on both side edges. It was not the Amazon packaging. Someone put the damaged nest box out for delivery. Why do some people think that is acceptable. As I live in West Wales it was easier to stick some glue on the cracks and see how it goes. If it fails then I will take the roof off and replace with a wood and felt one. Also would suggest to put metal hangers on the back as the three holes for hanging are very difficult to align with the screws especially if you are up a ladder in the wind. Other than that, it looks really nice on the side of the large shed I have.

A well made box but the roof had a crack on one of the corners. I have glued the two pieces together and hope it will last. I would have given it five stars if in good condition. I see what the sparrow thinks .

Only installed bird box recently, went for this one due to it having a slate roof therefore should rot. Had house sparrows already in corner of fascia but replaced fascia so moved nest into box, fingers crossed they come back and start using it

As mentioned on earlier reviews , arrived with a broken lidHad to fix it so we could get it up while we had scaffolding up, but certainly not happy

E' veramente bella, curata nei dettagli e sembra resistente.Il tetto è in pietra e il legno non ha spaccature.Certo, per mantenerla, ogni anno andrà ridato un po' di impregnante rigorosamente all'acqua.Speriamo che venga abitata

Eigentlich für Koloniebrüter angeschafft, aber gleich im ersten Jahr von einem Meisenpaar belegt und süßen Nachwuchs gehabt.

Non seulement il manque une pièce (un des 3 tiroirs) mais en plus, l'article indiqué neuf présente des traces d'usure (bois éraflé, et peinture écaillée sur le toit)...Je déconseille !

Sehr schönes, gut verarbeitetes Vogelhaus. Praktisch mit Lade zum raus ziehen fürs Reinigen. Schieferplatte als Dach passt gut dazu. Preis/Leistungsverhäktnis passt!

Das Dach war nach dem Transport an einer Ecke kaputt. Habe es selbst einigermaßen repariert, um das Hin- und Hersenden zu vermeiden. Sieht optisch gut aus, hängt bei uns wettergeschützt. Wird von den Vögeln bislang nicht angenommen, obwohl wir Spatzen hier haben. Auch nicht von den Meisen. Alle Einzel-Nistkästen sind belegt. Würde künftig eher zwei Einzel- Kästen kaufen und mit etwas Abstand nebeneinander hängen.
