My first whistle review...Pros1. Superb price (purchased from LightStock for a pip under three and a half quid)2. You get a blister pack of five whistles for the price of one bought locally (well near me)3. Good quality and as described... very loud so plug your ears when blowing it4. Although as a disclaimer, I haven't actually tried melting them, or stamping up and down on them, or throwing them away and trying to spot them again etc. ;-)

Bought the 5 pack due to the fact that my boat can take up to 4 people. A 100 decibels is very loud, and when used at sea, the sound travels much further than on land.Whilst these whistles can be used for any sport, I would definitely recommend them for boat owners. They are buoyant, made of strong plastics, and having no moving parts means they can be used at sea.I just cannot believe the low pricing on these whistles when identical ones cost ten times as much at a local dealer specializing in boat accessories.Thumbs up!

It whistles when you blow it!They are orange - if you drop it, you might have half a chance of finding it again.The best thing about these, is the price - add a set of lanyards and they would be brilliant value. At the moment, they are just good value. The whole family, and dog can be equipped very cheaply - do it, you may be grateful on a hillside someday. They weigh nothing, and can easily be found space for in the bottom of the rucksack - why not tie one to coat zipper pulls - saves struggling with cold wet fingers......

Arrived in good time. Don't want to be too harsh here as you know, it's five whistles for a fiver. They come in a sealable bag and they whistle, which I guess is all that is required. I'll warn you though, they ain't the whistle-iest whistles and aren't comfortable to blow on. I do have very full lips though so that could be part of the reason. You're getting what you pay for here and that's good enough for me.

Got these to use as a dog whistle for my pooch, after i forgot my dog whistle, and my mum had one of these in her coat. It was the best recall i've had from my dog! Enough whistles to attach to every piece of doggy equipment so i don't forget them again :) My dog responds with a pip pip pip now , whoop!

OK, a whistle is a whistle. But this pack of 5 at a silly cheap price were too good to miss. They are more than adequate as far as loudness goes and are easy to blow, even when short of breath. They have the facility to take a thin lanyard or cord, which would be useful [I like to keep safety stuff clipped to me if possible].Highly recommended.

I bought these for running multiple sessions at a sports club. Needs a fair bit of puff to make a very loud noise, but definitely works as a referee's whistle. And so cheap. I didn't fit with string but the hole is big enough for normal string but probably not for anything as thick as (say) a trainer lace.
