Love it! Best Rowing Machine I've Experienced
Having suffered an injury earlier this year that has stopped me from running for a while, I thought the next best option would be a rowing machine, but I wasn't exactly pleased at the prospect as I've used rowing machines in gyms before and never got on with them. This machine has changed my mind about rowing machines and rowing as a form of exercise in general! It feels like a solid, well-built piece of kit and the rowing action is smooth and fluid. It's my first time using a fan-rower and I'm finding the "whoosh" of the fan really satisfying adding to the overall enjoyment of using the machine. It was quite fiddly to put together but very easy to use and particularly pleasing that you can go at a pace of your choosing, not one dictated by a setting on the machine. Highly recommended!

A decent, no frills, amateur air-rower fit for the average city-dweller.
As many reviewers have stated, this is no 'Concept Two' rower - but a cheaper, perhaps more portable equivalent aimed at the home fitness market. It's great for fitness, but it will not vastly improve your stroke technique either on the water or during indoor rowing competitions. Basically you will not get to front stops, the foot plates pivot with your stroke position (unlike a C2) and depending on your height, you may not get to back stops with enough chain left to move along your chest whilst rocking back. If you want that - have a look at the Lidl Crivit rower, however these are like gold dust and impossible to find as of Dec 2020. Enter this decent little part-self-assembly rower. When assembled correctly, it is a more than serviceable substitute for something you might find in any given gym - with the added plus that it folds away into a neat little art-décor piece in your room corner. The ability to fold away was a very necessary feature for me as I have very little space to use and stow it inside. Despite this, it fits pretty well (see pictures). I found the setup procedure well documented and was delighted to see all the tools needed are provided. As others have cautioned - be careful to ensure the wires near the main-rail's hinge (those that feed the rowing computer) are well clear when folding. It is all too easy to slice these when folding. When in use, the resistance is comparable to a standard air-rower. The fan gives a strong 'swuush' noise as most air-rowers do, so headphones are really needed if watching TV whilst rowing. Unlike the more posh rowers I have used, you do at least feel that air over your face which is great for cooling. Overall, a decent portable rower well suited for maintaining overall fitness and mobility.

Great for the price.
It's a great machine,I purchased this rowing machine as I have bad knees so was looking for something to help build up my muscles, it's very big so make sure you have room, I only received mine today, there was slight damage when I got it, it's easy to move around, it took me a good 2 hours to put together 😮💨 some bits required 2 people but I took it as a challenge 🫣 I contacted the seller to sort out the damage and I was quickly sent a new part to replace the damaged bit. Seller was fast at resolving the issue, would definitely recommend this rowing machine.

Really impressive
I've been a regular gym user for the past 25 years and have only used the concept2 design of rower. I didn't have £800+ to spend so did lots of research before deciding what to buy. Having read all the reviews I was still pleasantly surprised at the quality of this rower. It is well built and sturdy. I managed to unpack and put together on my own in under a couple of hours. I am used to rowing on level 10 on the concept design but I still find this rower harder! Having read some of the other reviews about it not being hard enough, maybe I have put it together incorrectly...?! It certainly gives me an excellent workout and I would say I'm fairly fit. Squash player, runner of half and full marathons and holidays spent climbing mountains. The seat and handle designs are really comfortable. Yes it does make a noise but it is an air rower and with my headphones in I can still train to music happily. The only thing I don't like is how near the air wheel is to your hand when you row. It just stops me bending as farcforward as I am used to, but maybe that isn't so good for your back! It is quite long so make sure you have space. An excellent buy and would highly recommend.

Value for money for home exercise
Very happy with this product. Used in the spare room at home, takes up very little room when folded. Great value for money, sturdy and well made.

basic, no frills, overpriced
I settled on this after reading many reviews and researching other options online. I was expecting something basic, with premium touches and good for building a general exercise routine during lockdown. Ultimately I'm extremely disappointed in the rower and feel it is genuinely worth saving a little longer to get a more expensive machine than settling for this or cheaper alternatives. Assembly was fraught with teething problems. The instructions are not clear with small diagrams that did not adequately reflect the components positioning, and some items highlighted as loose are already in-situ on the machine, which caused confusion. Attaching the belt underneath required two people. The electronic counter is the most basic kind, without even a back piece and the connections could be described as flimsy at best. It registers the seat movements back and forth but requires a reset or restart so often it is actually impactful and demoralising in normal use. Although the machine is foldable this is also fiddly, requiring the central bolt that fixes the seat rail to the wheel to be unscrewed every time and removed. Of course, you have to put the bolt and washer aside, and I've lost enough screws over the years to know that these things easily stray despite best efforts. This seems like design flaw or cost cutting as a larger metal sleeve over the joint between the two components that could be clamped and released rather than a bolt you have to remove completely would have been better. In use the rower performs well. The seat motion is smooth, the foot plates secure. I am 5'10 and somewhere north of 95kg (15st in real money) and the rower accommodates me with room and weight to spare. The fan is noisy enough when you get going that tv or music will need to be inconveniently loud if it accompanies your work out. Unfortunately, there is no way to adjust resistance when in use, effectively you reach a plateau of exercise beyond which any further improvement is impossible, but it works perfectly fine for a general cardio workout. In conclusion i am overall disappointed and would not recommend this machine. I imagine the higher price over other cheaper rowers is down to the quality of the seat rail and the general heft and stability of the machine but in use it offers very little at all over cheaper machines, some of which look to have better displays or resistance options. I'm happy with it for what it is, a basic cardio machine, but with hindsight I would have gone up a level to a more expensive machine.

Good for the price.
The rower arrived in a strong carton, well packed, but the corner of one footplate was broken off so, after I contacted them, benysports sent a replacement. Assembly was straightforward using the instructions in the manual provided. In use. The monitor is at a fixed angle so in reduced, or reflected light it is difficult to see. The chain looks slightly flimsy and the forward stroke is a bit short. The footplate straps do not fasten in the higher position. The Velcro hooks and loops do not meet. My main gripe is with the swivelling footrests. The rigid footplates swivel on a pivot bar located just below the centre of the foot. I find this action quite unnatural when rowing. I have used Concept 2 machines where the footrest is fixed, but adjustable for size, the front of the feet are strapped to the footrests allowing the foot to flex and the heel to raise as you move forwards. This is a much more natural action. In conclusion. I can live with the footrests as, at the price, this is a good home rowing machine for improving general fitness, especially when compared to a Concept 2 Type D available at prices from 3 times to 6 times the price of the V-fit.

Excellent rowing machine!
I had a really cheap rower from Argos but wanted something that wold give me a better workout. This certainly does that. I really feel like I have used my muscles after a decent amount of time on the V-fit rower. I don't use the display, so I can't really comment on it. I let my body tell me when I have done enough. I generally put something interesting on the TV with the subtitles on (as others have mentioned the rower is a little noisy, though not what I would call loud) and I row until I'm done. The machine has small wheels at the flywheel end so I can just manage to drag it through to the dining room, where it lives when I'm not using it. At 213cm (7 ft) it is pretty long, so make sure that you have space for it. It does have a hinge, as shown in the product photos, but be aware that a bolt has to be undone in order to fold it....not a big deal, but worth knowing. I'm really pleased with the machine. As someone with a disability, my options for exercise are limited. This allows me to stay fit, maintain some strength, help mobility and hopefully keep me out of a wheelchair.

Spettacolare!
Ordinato venerdi, consegnato inaspettatemente mercoledi.

Rowing Machine : technique and benefits : [...] Correct rowing machine technique : [...]
