Great for applying finishing oil to well sanded wood.
Ive been using Rustins cloths to put Liberon finishing oil onto some new kitchen cupboard doors I've been making, with very mixed results. I was having a terrible time with the Rustins cloths/Liberon finishing oil as I was getting streaks all over the wood with inconsistent application of the finishing oil. I bought these in some sort of desperation.Well I agree with some of the other reviews, they are just cut up bit of material with no edges (a good thing when applying oil). However what a difference to the result. Really smooth application. Hold plenty of oil without dripping it. No streaking. Make up into a really nice soft pad that really applies oil well.I can imagine if the work isnt really smooth they may snag. But for applying finishing oil to well sanded wood (320 grit) they are just peachy. As an aside I'm happy with the Liberson finishing oil again too. Looks really nice now.You also get about 10 times the quantity compared to the Rustins ones too.Its made my day.

Need to finish off product to a better standard
Purchased these as I thought they would be good to clean my furniture. Being lint free I could use them with beeswax and not scratch anything. When received, it was clear they were for valeting cars with. Nevertheless I have used them and they are brilliant giving a perfect finish, especially on windows and mirrors! Even did my car with them and good result. I have given it 3 stars as it says a pack of 5 which it is, but each cloth is cut badly into pieces that aren't the same size and not machined at the edges. Looks like they have just cut a great big cloth into squares and rectangles which I could have easily done myself, so that doesn't bode well. Looks unprofessional as not finished off properly - well to my standards. I would though, give it 5 stars for quality. If you are happy to accept this then go ahead and purchase, as the cloths themselves are gentle to use.

We're getting a bit carried away with standard microfibre dusters these can be far to rough for fine polishing. Good item well p
These are big very big dusters and ideal for my purpose wich was the delicate polishing of plastic as a final operation. They're a bit thin which again suited me as for life span it really does depend on the task given so for example don't know how they would wash but I will disgard and buy new to be safe can't risk scratches. Each could be cut to size to suit - I kept mine singular. A small amount of hair was apparent but insignificant. We're getting a bit carried away with standard microfibre dusters these can be far to rough for fine polishing. Good item well plased with price and service.

The Best!
These really are the best cleaning/polishing cloths I've come across. I use them for wax furniture polishing, French polishing, and for the oily rag over the shotgun before putting it away. They are soft, strong and long lasting, really good and highly recommended. Tip; Use one cloth for each purpose, don't mix them. When you've finished using a cloth, keep it in an old sandwich box or similar; keeps the cloth clean, so that if you're polishing furniture you don't end up rubbing the grit from your cleaning cupboard into your dining table next time you use the cloth.

Nice lint free cloths
Bought these for lime waxing old pine furniture. They do the job. However, an old cotton t-shirt would also do the job just as well and would probably be better for the environment in the long-run.

this was a great deal. I use it as a cloth for ...
As many people have pointed out, this is basically a bunch of pre-shrunk, pre-softened cotton t-shirt material. That being said, I don't have access to nor the time to go find a bunch of t-shirts and rip them up. So, considering the price and my limitations, this was a great deal. I use it as a cloth for my calligraphy and watercolor art, and it never clogs up a nib, and it lifts color off of a page without damaging the paper. So I consider that a win :)

Absolutely brilliant lint cloths for all your cleaning jobs..they are so user friendly, they happily go in the washing machine. My greatest challenge is that they keep disappearing!...
